Adam, you are a star. Thanks for this it didn’t work but as you said went to tv settings and boom. Tv control now working thanks.
Great video!!! You mentioned the Bluetooth remote. Are they better if you lost your Firestick remote vs. other options like using the app? If stuck trying, keep everything connected. Without a remote. The replacement I bought didn't want to pair. Is the Bluetooth option worth trying?
I only 65 inch Samsung I bought in 2018 and I had to fiddle around with the CEC on the TV but it works perfectly with my fire stick 4K. Thanks for the tip.
My TV remote's refusing to work, so I bought her a box of choccies and everything is back to normal!!!😅🤣😂👍
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Enjoy your day
Cheers Tim bud 🍻
Super simple and quick, thx!!
❤❤❤❤❤ I have a fire stick and it works like a dream
Thanks Adam always for what you do!! I use my firestick remote when using the firestick but I do notice that the Samsung remote works as well, so I may just use the Samsung remote. Another great video because you always manage to make me laugh even without a dad joke!! So thanks
Cheers Ralph 🍻
Thanks Free Tech for the info 👍
thank you m8 just done this works like a dream
Nice informative walkthrough 🙏👍🙏
Generally use Firestick remote but phone app useful if text needs to be entered, eg web page addresses or passwords. Occasionally use TV remote.
Great video and info mate thanks 🍻
Cheers bud 🍻
OK! I use the FireCube 3rd Gen with remote and here's WHY. I have a Bose Soundbar and my TV so the TV remote does NOT control the soundbar so it unusable for me. Once setup on the FireCube or ANY Firestick for that matter the Amazon remote does everything. Also, for me having eliminating "CABLE" TV and now using TH-cam TV the Amazon remote does everything I need. With the FireCube 3rd Gen I now have COMPLETE voice control and can simply ask the Cube to turn up/down volume and switch to ANY channel with my voice. Also setting up a Routine I can turn on/off my TV and soundbar with a simple voice command. My Panasonic remote can do NONE of this and doubt any other brand will do this with a soundbar of ANY brand. This is where the FireCube rules over Firesticks and for me WORTH the extra MONEY. With Alexa Routines and Location turned on you can automatically have your TV and Audio stuff turn on/off based on location. So when I leave my home my TV and soundbar turns OFF and when I arrive home my TV, soundbar, and lighting turns on before I even walk in the house. Granted most people do not have stuff setup this way because it takes a little thought but once setup it WORKS like a champ!
The main reason that i returned my firestick was that it has the compatibility remote option. My tv remote did not work and for some reason with the original firestick remote i could not switch off the device from the remote. I did not understand why. I bought a chinese knock off in instead and im very happy
My Samsung tv got the smart remote thats powered by Solor or a type c cable i love it and it works on my Nvidia Shield
Will it work with a Roku tv remote too ?
I’m not sure as I’ve never tried with a Roku TV 🍻
I also have a Samsung TV that works with firestick, but I hardly use it because It's not voice activated and not working with alexa!! Firestick remote is still the remote to go to...😊
Damn. You look like a young Obi Wan Kenobi in that intro.
Sometimes I use my Firestick for volume on the reg channels for tv. I have a 5yr old Roku and sometimes I have to fight with the remote to turn up the volume.
cheers mucker..👍🙏
Cracking on....😁😁😁👍👍👍
SWEET
Tv and firestick remote
It work I just had to scan for the device
My firestick remote works for everything. Took me 3 attempts to pair it thru settings.
Have you heard anything about the new Google TV device unit what will be released in August or September. Can you look into this and do review on this. Let us know any more news and information. Love the dad joke 😂
My fire stick remote has never worked use the Amazon remote app on me phone but will check the settings out
My LG remote controls Firestick automatically, no set-up required. However, it is slightly slower in operation.
It's worked on my fire stick can't get it to work on my fire cube same TV?
I prefer using just my tv remote to control my Firestick 4K Max in my bedroom. This allows me to use one remote to do everything I want, like setting a sleep timer.
Can you please help me My voice thing on my control It shows the blue part when I push down on the button No voice on it I didn't try everything people were Show how to do it i can't Alexa go to this channel It lights up blue that's all I didn't put in new batteries I am plotted way to the next day Still the same way Thank you for sharing your videos I appreciate you very much You and your family have a very blessed day
This could make for a helpful video. I guess you’re letting go of the Alexa button after speaking? I’ll see if any settings may have changed to mute audio too 🍻
Probably an idiotic question but.... How do you uninstall the Amazon fire TV remote app(s)???
I've been using my remote for a couple of years now
Mines on by default cheers
Boom 💥
Evening bud 🍻
Tv remote is not as responsive as the fire stick remote, but as you say it gets the job done
With the bush freely tv the remote works with the fire stick didn’t need to do anything to it
I've been using my TV remote on Firestick for some years. Only drawback is I cannot access Alexa/Mic.
I use the fire stick remote it works faster then the TV remote
mine does not work and HDMI GEC was turned on
Didn't work for me unfortunately I have an Panasonic 55inch just over 6 or 7 year old
Cani plug my fire stick in an I pad. Ta.
