Yea bro Seeker was bought by a company apparently called “The Verge” so I guess Verge is maintains the Seeker TH-cam Channel and may not be keeping everything up to date. Goes to show it’s not about the channel itself it’s about the people behind running a channel yk. So this 5M TH-cam channel which was once run by Seeker was thriving but when “The Verge” bought it I guess it was monitored differently so yea. I recommend doing your own further research on this topic to better get the answer that your looking for but this is just my opinion and observation based on what was provided on their TH-cam channel.🙂
Listen, long form science based content like this has a longer shelf life. It’s not connected to trends. Also TH-camrs are paid for views monthly. Since these videos always perform, the longer your channel is around it just continues to get paid off its views so the need to push out new videos isn’t as much as it is for other channels that live and breathe based on being current with trending topics. You couple that with new management and you get what you see here.
This is kinda terrifying that such a well-produced channel could possibly be gone due to layoffs at Vox Media. This is quality science writing/journalism that should continue.
thanks for this info! speaking of quality content:I've been watching the newest Wendover video and how quality won the game I've been wondering: why haven't I seen a Seeker video in my feed for such a long time

That is the long term solution - taking everything needed for heavy construction.. Rebar, concrete mixture, setting agents, maybe water, maybe stuff for pressurised atmosphere. Working without air likely to be the biggest problem. Understanding the regolith is absolutely crucial to solving so many of these kinds of problems.

Is it too soon to make a landing pad for the Moon, a large sectional thing that we can stick a rocket to that won't push dirt everywhere? Given the fact that gravity is less, perhaps you could just use a push away type of Thruster until it moves away from the Moon and then you could straighten it out.
Off topic but If humans are able to mine asteroids and comets then use it on different projects on Earth, does the mass will add up overtime and the Earth's rotation will become slower and slower overtime?
The verge basically murdered a channel for money. It's gross they don't even make the same content on the verge channel either. Will always think very negative opinions about the verge because of THIS very reason.
A. Never land a rocket near an unshielded person, vehicle, vessel, or edifice. B. Lunar landings take place in a vacuum, making your tabletop version of a landing an exercise in futility.
Luckily, no dust or blast crater were found on any of the lunar landing pads in the Apollo moon landing photos. I guess this channel needed to be shut down before people started looking back at the photos taken from Apollo 11, lol.
Interesting video.. I'll watch the rest. Do you know who Abby Vieregg? Otherwise known as PI for ANITA, Antarctica? I'm wondering why she hasn't been in your videos.
Nothing? But Mythbusters proved bootprints could be done in vacuum! Got eveywhere... "I'll agree that sharp edged footprints can be made in cement dust (from a bag of cement), but if you kick some, it will billow up into a cloud of earth bound dust. Thus, since we didn't see that, the moon landings were real." > so if it doesnt float how can it cover their suits?
Sounds like they should stop using rocket's to land.or to spray the area where they are going to land with a fast drying reason.somethat will take the heat. But make a landing pad
It seems that the video is talking about taking care of lunar dust in a landing that could eventually actually take place in future missions, as it contradicts the images of the Apollo landings. In all of those six "very successful" landings, you practically didn't see all that much-vaunted dust at the time of landing. Why all this concern now? The next missions need to improve image capture so that everything looks more realistic and less contradictory. In fact, there is no shortage of funds and technology to falsify science at NASA's Space Theme Park for the joy and entertainment of its passionate fans.
When you fall you constantly accelerate, lunar gravity is about 1.6m/s². So every second you fall, you're going 1.6meters per second faster, and there's no atmosphere so you'll never slow down

Space elevators are way more trouble than they are worth. I really don't see them being a thing till we're already colonizing space and got super strong building materials like carbon nano tubes perfected. Now space hooks are a different story.
I wish you'd used the term simulated or synthetic in your title instead of "fake". That feeds into the space denier, flat earth, conspiracy theory crowd
I was gonna say the same thing. But they probably knew that and was intended. Besides, even if the comfort theorists fill the comment section that's engagement regardless. With that said, they need science in their lives lol.
This makes me laugh cause I was in the regolith lab at JSC working with lunar dirt and I ask the lady where do they get the samples and she didn’t want to tell me cause it was proprietary information. Thanks for letting me know where they get it from 😅

Somehow dust didn`t bother legs of LEM in 1969. Pristine cleanliness.
I'd like to know more about building landing pads out of regolith. What other materials would be required to bring to make concrete?
Selling moon dust is actually a sand business model - repeat customers will buy on a regolith basis.
The closest thing I can think to compare this stiff to is micro-plastics with the properties of asbestos.

Same as perfect bootprints but it sticks to soles....
And that proves they never went before. No dust on the moon landers feet.

Fake moon dust is real than the moon landing.😂😂😂
Like Mythbusters really showing dry vacuum allows perfect bootprints :)
