Visual Studio has been the host for SSAS, SSIS and SSRS for many years. In versions up to Visual Studio 2017, the way to install this would be install Visual Studio and then SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools). However, in Visual Studio 2019, the procedure is different. This is detailed in this video.

I am going to learn SSIS,SSRS,SSAS (I am just beginning....). I read in several places that these components aren't free. You state here I can get them for free. What's the difference then? are they trial version that will expire? or just versions with limited functionalities?
Hello, and thank you for your comment. If it is for personal use, then you can get SQL Server Developer (I have another video on this) and Visual Studio. Currently the version you should get is the 2019 version. All of these are free. They are not limited - just not for business/commercial use. Phillip
When you get the error at 7:05 close everything and restart your computer and resume installing again. for some computers (like mine)....just closing Visual studio does not prevent the error from occurring. You gotta restart your machine. Thank me later with a PS4 game

I keep getting stuck at "Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Projects Post Install". It will stay like that for almost an hour and will not make any progress. I've tried reinstalling the visual studio but still happens. Can you help me with this?

You cannot open the BIM file. Reason: The workspace database server 'localhost' was not found. Verify that there is an Analysis Services server instance running on 'localhost' in tabular mode.
To change the workspace database server for the selected BIM file 'Model.bim', in Solution Explorer, select the BIM file 'Model.bim', and then in the Properties window, change the workspace database server.

I get this error while trying to install SSIS Error 0x80131500, the only difference that I've found is that on the video it downloads the 3.0 version, but in my case it downloaded the 12.0
Edit: uninstalling and installing again visual studio fixed the problem

But I have not installed any of these and still everything is running properly, I am using SqlServer, C#, Visual Studio2019. And creating windows applications properly.

Hi Rock. I would try opening the program as an Administrator. Right-hand click on it, and select "Run as Administrator". I hope that helps. Phillip

how can i get visual studio 2019 community edition? here its showing SSIS, SSAS and SSRS Packs are not available in visual studio 2022 edition. I installed visual studio code 2019 but i came to know that it is different. show me the way to start my MSBI practice

So SSRS, SSAS and SSIS also comes along with license thru install by logon thru Microsoft account or only Visual studio?
Hello Ganesh. SSRS, SSAS and SSIS are part of SQL Server Developer, Standard and Enterprise. You need to pay for SQL Server Standard and Enterprise - you cannot use Developer for commercial purposes. Visual Studio is one way of accessing SSRS, SSAS and SSIS. You can use Visual Studio Community and the SSRS, SSAS and SSIS extensions for free. Phillip

Is there a way to download extensions with another browser -- i.e., Firefox? I don't have MS Edge, and I'm unable to download SSIS (as the windows keeps disappearing). I don't like MS Edge, and I try to avoid using it; thanks for any assistance!
If that's not possible, then is there a way that I can get the download link for an extension & then copy & paste it into a browser of my choice, aside from MS Edge?

I thought I provided an update. Shortly after I posted my inquiry, I was able to successfully download SSIS, via the Marketplace (in Firefox) -- and it's running fine in my Visual Studio.

For now, if you have any existing reports (like the one on the screen), you can change it and save it as a different name.
