@@michaelkieran3006 I've not tested out to the limits but laying on the side of the house, not mounted up high, I was getting I'd say coverage over a 5-6 acre area... I think it will be much more powerful once I finally take the time to mount it up higher. I was even getting a signal inside of my metal pole barn but not consistent and not strong enough... I've been testing a wireless bridge to bring Internet into that building but I'd still like to cover about 10 acres around the house and pond so we have cell coverage. The 5Ghz coverage is less, but the 2.4ghz coverage kicks in and spans pretty good. I've got some more use cases I need to test but in this form as an access point it has worked well.
@Hardy Brothers Product Reviews ye nice that sounds what I need around 250 300 meters ,it's just one review differs to the next on distance, not sure if it's individual product or conditions ,I want to connect wireless cameras ,I'm not sure if they need a fast speed ? Thanks for your review video looking forward to distance test once mounted 👍
@Michael kieran brother same i also need the distance of 250 to 300 meters and seen many reviews and they told the 300 and i have orderded this device last some days from ali express and it will be available to me in 3 to 4 days and then i will definitely let me know you about its proper distance check… i will leave the information here in comment..
Thank you for your video but I have a problem following your information. First you say, "It's powered by ethernet" and then go on to say, "powered inside the house". I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
There is a power adapter that plugs into the wall and an Ethernet cable can be plugged into the adapter and run a long distance taking both power and internet to the bridge. If you have a switch that supports power over Ethernet or PoE you could just plug it into the switch. Does that help?
@@hardybrothersproductreviews You appear to be saying there is an adapter attached to the device that has both power and ethernet ports so that both power and ethernet cables can be attached to it, but if you have a PoE adapter plugged into the mains then you only need to connect the ethernet cable to the device's adapter rather than using both power and ethernet cables. I'm curious as I have a security camera that has a short cable with an adapter attached with both power and ethernet ports and because of how I interpreted your reply it made me wonder if I could power the camera just using the ethernet cable as I also have PoE. BTW at the moment, I am only connecting the power cable as I can use wifi to connect to my router. Thank you for your help.
Gotcha and my apologies I thought this was on my bridge video not the router/access point. Everything you said is correct. I was not using wifi on my wavlink because it was far from my router and I wanted the strongest possible signal to be repeated across my yard so I wired it with Ethernet which also carried the power. Now, if your camera is a wifi camera and does not require an Ethernet camera then you should be able to power it from a PoE source like a switch or an adapter. However I do not believe you can power it off of the PoE port on the wavlink access point as I think that is only for inbound power. Hope that makes sense.

Do both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz work when you're using it in repeater mode?
I’m pretty sure they do. I don’t recall if I had it set up as an AP or repeater but I had both networks active.
@@hardybrothersproductreviews, Thanks.

What distance are you getting out of it in the position on side of the house there ?

How many SSID can we use when using AP mod? Can we make multiple SSID like 2 or 3 different SSID different password?
I’ll need to check but I think you have two frequencies and a main and a guest per frequency so a total of 4… I’ll try to verify tomorrow.

How far does the signal reach?
I heard 1700 feet
