This version gives me serious goosebumps. The studio version/official video is wild and worth the watch. Completely different :) Thanks Ken and Happy Thanksgiving from Canada
Oh, this is way better than the other version. I didn't even know this existed. She is at her best when she is singing. Such an amazing voice. Now, please do 1:5 it's her best song!!
Her studio version of this is a banger for sure - layer upon layer of her glorious vocals for her genius lyrics, and really great production. The music video has a lot going on in it and, given your captioned comments, you would enjoy it haha. This requiem version really punches me in the gut though. She wrote Little Girl Gone after a really bad year in the industry - took a lot of her rage and frustration and poured it into the song. When she released the studio version of Little Girl Gone, she received such an outpouring of messages from people about how empowering this song was for them and how, through it, they found the strength to leave bad situations. Because of this, CHINCHILLA made the live requiem version saying “FROM ME TO YOU: The reaction to 'Little Girl Gone' has been amazing, eye-opening, heart wrenching. I wanted to create a live version of this song which depicts the darker more sinister themes, as well as the strength behind it. Writing this song was liberation for me and I feel that every time I sing it. I wanted to strip away everything and show the vulnerability behind the empowerment. A different angle - the place it comes from. I hope this resonates with you and maybe offers help in some way to those who find strength in it.” Been cathartic for so many people. Chinchilla was born to write anthems ❤🔥 I think you’re spot on with the Aretha / Janis / Annie references. Zeonkeys always kills it with his accompaniment. Thanks for this, enjoyable as always 😊
The official video version of this song has over 128 million streams on Spotify and she was the first woman to go straight to number one in Billboards emerging artist charts in the US - this is a HUGE song and the live version is amazing too
The lighting change for me, like the vocal effect used at the start of the studio version, separates the voice of that speaking from the past (as the figurative 'little girl') to that speaking in the now as the person who is no longer that same person as in the past (the 'little girl gone'). To my ear, both the studio and live versions speak of anger but of different forms. The studio version speaks of the anger at the antagonist who provoked the song's protagonist - a rageful anger. Whilst the live version reflects a more contemplative anger - at having been forced to face a situation and become another person as a result, expressing sad/mournful/reflective anger at having been made to let go of the 'little girl'.
The video is 180° from this and such a power anthem, you should watch that, too. This is beautiful, but they are almost different songs, just sharing the same lyrics. I love her versatility!
The official music video is a ton of fun and the mood is more of a girl power anthem, easier to sing along, a different type of energy and mood. I think you should react to it.
This is my favorite version of the song. The studio version is very fun and I know you'd enjoy it. It would be entertaining to see you react to the action in that version. To me, it shows off her production skills where this video shows off her singing. Both version are uniquely Chinchilla. Thanks for continuing to support our woman Chinchilla.
The original music video version of the song was her debut single after a nasty break from her management team, and was a viral hit - so perfect revenge! It's an empowerment anthem. Chinchilla was inundated by fans with stories of misery and abuse, and appreciation for the uplifting song. Those stories led to this version, conveying a darker picture than the original. Chinchilla made some hilarious shorts also, responding to comments received: th-cam.com/users/shortsYLFIvLo-Hok?si=BRXWB5OxaKf_h7Gk th-cam.com/users/shortsCNZyIT2QtYs?si=LUTAv6_v5IwthxYW One more: th-cam.com/users/shortsyvhbDyqCQZY?si=WjCguLNx-7J474FR
As others have already mentioned, the "studio" version of this song has a very different feel to it, and they can almost be seen as two different songs. It is definitely worthy of a full reaction video. I first heard Little Girl Gone when it was initially released as a lyric video. Loved it. When the music video was released a couple of weeks later, altough very good, it distracted and conflicted with my picture of what the song was about, and it took me some time to accept it. For me the lyrics are very introspective (and empowering), while the mv is more explicitly hands on. This live requiem version though, I really liked directly. Even though the singing style is different it still has that more introspective feeling to it.
Love this version especially! Great reaction. I’m sure I saw on another video that Ren was the ‘gangster’ who she got her gun from! As in, he gave her the inspiration and courage to go independent like he had. Don’t know if anyone can confirm that? 😊
The official video is great fun and she paid for it herself.
This is the 1st song after her break from her management. She calls it her favourite baby.

Already on my channel. Great song.

Nice breakdown and theory.

I'll check them out. Thanks
A lot of people know about Chinchilla and the leg kick.
Few know about her scarecrow energy pose.
I like this version! Agree that the backup singers sound great with their voices separated like that. The sound is very strong and complex sounding.
Anything Chinchilla does live switches something in my brain, and I get goosebumps and even tears when she hits some of her notes

Yes, definitely need to do the official video! ❤
Chinchilla Is amazing and this Is really good.
They are both fantastic.

Such a talented artist.
If you were to have seen the video1st you would appreciate this version much more So I hope you do watch the video 1 day
Every time I hear that "Wow" early in the song I have this intense need to dub Christopher Walken's voice! 😄
As you should. I love Christopher Walken and can sometimes do a decent impression of him. Sometimes.
The video is 🔥
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
One of my favorites of hers.
Nice, but would have liked you to check out the official music video first.
The title of your video is wrong. The song is not 1:5, but Little girl gone.
Oh it's not 1:5 sad... I love 1:5
Thanks. I re-use details so that I don't have to fill everything in and sometimes screw up. Appreciate it.
I like the official better on this song specifically myself
Hope you get a chance to react to McKay by Ren someday. If not react at least watch.
I probably will do McKay sometime and possibly the official video of Little Girl as well.
Yes please 🙏 to both ❤
You will love the official video if you enjoyed imagining her kicking some creeps arse!! 🤭😂
