My sister bought this exact one in 1977, except it was the fast back called the Century Special - the least expensive one they had. . I bought it off of her in 1987 and ran it for 9 year more until it had just over 125K miles. Loved that car. I modified it as you guys do, putting 245/60-HR15 Eagle GT+4's on it with heavier sway bars on the front and rear that I got at a junk yard. I learned a lot about cars thru this one. When I see this one now, it reminds me of driving to the Jersey shore, or heading upstate NY as kids. When I went to the Army in 1997, my mom got rid of it, coming back to see a freed up driveway. Ahh, it was time to move on.

Buddy had one around 1990 and was fully loaded Red/White/White but rusted to smithereens!! Gorgeous car though, only family-owned, (not his), and had gobbs of Torque. RIP to them both! RIP

Ugh - this was at the height of the Malaise era. Where everyone built horrible cars. No performance, shoddy quality, choked out by a million miles of vacuum lines from the carb to the exhaust..... these cars give me nightmares. Thank God that era is long gone.

These actually had very few vacuum powered emissions. The lack of power was from the low compression and choked head/intake. You can run one with no emissions at all and it will still be a slowpoke.
Other than that the craftsmanship is actually really nice. The dash is tight, nothing rattles, the suspension is sporty for a 4000lb car, very comfortable ride.

Air Conditioning where?? I don't see it under the hood or in the interior......

Right? I noticed that too. It also said it’s powered by the 3.8 V6 that is “sure to get up and go”. I have a Regal with that engine, and while it’s certainly reliable and great on gas, you won’t be smoking tires or winning any races with that motor lol.

That's a lot of car for a mid-'70s V6 to move around. I can't even imagine how slow it much have been. Other than that, it's a handsome ride.
