  • Check out a walk-around of my 1976 Buick Century Custom. This car is one of a kind. There are not many clean restored low mileage car like this on the east coast. The color combination on this Buick is always turning heads and the 350 engine makes it as fun to drive as it is to look at. This car is a all original 1 owner car. (Me being the second owner). I am very lucky to add this beauty to my collection of cars.

    Nice Buick. These are going up in value. Regal’s were everywhere but this car is rare and with the low miles, don’t give it away. Most of my friends and me start driving in 76’ two friends drove Regals (sharp) cutlass , Monte Carlo and myself Grand Prix

    If that spare says General Tire, which by the looks of it, I think it is, then it's the original spare.
    I’m glad that I watched to the end of the video. It’s nice to hear how humble & grateful you are in getting this car.
    God Bless and best of luck with this car.

      Thanks you so much. This car is my reminder of what can happen if you stay positive, stay faithful, and just don’t give up. It’s definitely more then a car for me. Also the smiles it puts on people’s faces is what it’s all about. I love hearing people stories about them or a family member having a car like this and the memories it brings them. I feel like I make a new friend every time I pull this car out.

    Ketri, I really envy you, but in a good way, my Wife and I had a 76 Century back in 1978, as you can imagine I was young, LOL, now I'm 62. The Buick we had was the same color, it had the V8 and it also had a factory sun roof, my Wife says that the pin striping was kind of a brown color, congratulations, you made a great buy.

      That means a lot....Thank you kind sir. I wish I was old enough to see these cars new. I would have been broke if I was though. I love 50-70’s American cars.

    Absolutely beautiful car! My first car was a 1975 Century Special. The dash on yours is almost exactly like the one I had...brings back some wonderful memories watching your video! Thank you for keeping it clean and running, there are not many of them left in that shape. Thanks again for posting this video!

    I had a 1976 Special in high school back in 92. Left for the Army that year. Fast forward to 2017 I found the same car but a year later model on craigslist for $500 w cracked block and heads. Long story short I now own a running 1977 century special w rebuilt oddfire V6 and rebuilt transmission. I have yet to do the interior or paint but she runs fine.

      Awesome. How is the v6? I always wondered. What made me pull the trigger on this one is that it was a 350

    • @slaisebam
      @slaisebam 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ketrilamar the V6 is ok for the weight of the car. Not the most power but for me it's about feeling 17 again when I'm in that car.

      @@slaisebam I understand that. I love old music and old cars. When I’m in this and playing my old music I feel like I was in the 70’s what a good feeling.

    I know we have pictures of the car, but they are probably somewhere in the attic, you know back then chrome sidewinder exhaust pipes were popular, I was trying to find videos on youtube so I could show them to my Grandson, that's how I found your video, again congratulations, I hope to see it when it's fully restored, FYI, I'm blind, but my wife can describe it for me, regards.

    You have a beautiful car, there. The striping- all of it - is factory original, and there may be stripes available for the hood, that (if memory serves correctly) were separate options. The body side moldings are aftermarket, I think. The original ones were always black, and they had a higher profile but were not quite as wide. Again, this is according to my memory. I was a sub-contractor to car dealers in the business of installing these products. I was an independent company as opposed to one of the franchises available, so I accessed more than one striping manufacturer's product lines. Regarding the color of the striping on your car, I'm guessing it was gold or some shade of brown. If you can't find nos striping, try Phoenix Graphics. Good luck. Any chance you will change the paint color?
