Very nice and informative review. Definitely have me sold on it. Also love the safety points in this video, they were a pleasant and constant entity throughout the entire video, you do not see that as often as we should. Great job.

That's going to be a GREAT axe! I have two grandsfor bruks but not a hults yet... Maybe someday.

I got natural whetstones. Smooth riverstones I found by a river trail.

Some of those are quite nice! I've only ever found novaculite to be comparable to modern grinding stones.

That's good for you because these stones are all Pucked up!👍😜

Thank you Sir this is the video I've been looking, focused on the stuff you want to show and explain. Compare to the other wasting time focusing the camera in their faces.

You are welcome! Most of my videos will be this style, however, I will do a few (recently) that have face time as it seems to do well with the masses and I'M A STAR!!! LOOK AT ME!!!

Hults Bruks is the absolute most underrated axe making company on TH-cam. Their sheaths in my opinion are amazing, thick leather that protects the axe blade the best.

If not dried out, is the stone vulnerable to freezing temperatures?

Excellent to the point review, every detail visible, great video quality, sound as well, nice, not overwhelming, background music, really enjoyable. I have Hults Bruk Hatchet and now will pair it with their sharpening puck. Thanks for the help in deciding, bud : )

Much appreciated! Thank you for your feedback. You have good tastes in hatchets and this will be a fine addition to your collection!

I'm sold. Not too expensive either.

I agree! Just watch that freezing issue. I haven't tested it in sub zero with water.

Stone should be dripping wet All the time when grinding. I personally let it rest in water 5-10 minutes before start sharpening process.

The puck design is one of those "How have we not done it like this before" ideas, really good.
Also thought the leather case was fancy but not the best idea to keep the puck pristine, but considering the water that the puck sucks up, maybe it does need an open case to let the water evaporate out.

At 2:41 - is it from China? Wow, all the worlds stuff comes from China. Didn't know, China's in the north.

Anton, I think that may just be the box. However, your comment made me look into this further. It turns out that not all of the world's stuff comes from China. However, their lack of labor laws and human rights protections do make many things such as boxes extremely cheap to produce. There are parts of China far more north than even the northern most states of the United States. It was fun looking into this for you! Have a great day!

@@FollowTheCompassNorth Is Mongolia, farther north than Alaska? (And seemingly, no pollution laws too)
