Great update. Wheels are perfect. Incredible how you have all the little parts and pieces for reassembly. You should make a separate video on how you stay organized and manage making sure you have all those parts. Also, update on the turbo white car...

Part 1, dude already disclosed he prefers minimal talking and the hassle of setting up for videos. I expect another video of such immense detail.

I might do that, a few people have DM'd me asking about part numbers and where I get them. I've just taken a couple dozen E30s apart over the years and I have pretty much every part memorized and know which ones break, I think people don't realize you can still get replacement parts right from a BMW dealership. I will put part numbers in the descriptions soon for everything I order since not everyone knows how to dig through parts diagrams

This man has some serious OCD. And I’m all here for it

“serious OCD”? The man likes to do things properly and meticulously, but he does not have OCD; that’s a serious neurological disorder. Why do people keep using that term wrong haha

Everything will be okay. It was a compliment and I have OCD that can be debilitating and intrusive in my life. I’m not offended about my use of the term, no worries :)

Yeahhh, a new episode! So relaxing to watch you work on the car. I'm a little jealous of your garage, nice one! The car looks mint. What engine is going in?

7.20 try a length of string inside the grove of the window rubber. Pulling the string out will fold the rubber round the glass.

Will the tweeter pods be a separate video? I'm interested in aftermarket speakers that look stock!

    Hi,
In the phase of rebuild a simular project.
Question is if you would happen to have the part Numbers or the many clips to fasten the chrome elements around the windows, als also the clips to fasten bumpers etc, when restoring met Porsche 911 1985 it had an extensive workshop manual and parts list but BMW E30 is low in documentation of this … thanks to reach out

It looks super great. Love the color. Seems like you have been doing this a few times before. Never seen anyone put glass in like this with the seal first . I always put the seal on glass and then via a string fitted it into the body of the car
On your rear springs it looked like you had a cable tie onto the top holding the upper metal to the spring. You didn’t remove it ?
And last. Must be nice to still be able to get new parts for this old a car. Like trim etc.

I've honestly never tried that method, I always remove the glass before the seal when disassembling because it pops right out, so figure putting it back in that way is easiest. Yeah I still gotta remove the zip ties, I'm going to need to adjust the springs once the axles are bolted up and I might swap in softer springs so I'll be back in there before it's on the road and will get them then.

Niemals Schmierstoffe oder Fett beim Zusammenbau verwenden,könnte helfen und vor Korrosion schützen.
