i love my s2, ive had mine almost 2 years close to 3500 miles... i do wish it wasnt so overpriced especially with all the alternatives on the market these days. i managed to get mine before the price increase! i love my s2 but i wouldnt buy another one because its a money sink for sure! in retrospect i do wish i got the r or rx for that back suspension with the amount of commuting i do!
I have three super 73 bikes and I really enjoy them. I like the retro styling and the frame quality. The fat tires look cool and work well on dirt paths. I do think the newer models could use a bit more low end punch or torque, my old S1 seems to have better acceleration than my newer S series.
My supet 73 stopped working.... Send ticket thru app. 3 days no reaponse. Call to check on it and the sales guy said it could take awhile and to jusy wait. Its been 2 weeks. I literally got a reply on a bad review i left last week, but no support...
please can you do a short video on the range with a throttle as no one really ride a ebike using peddles. i want to see it from you guys as i value your views on ebikes.
Does anyone know where to get replacement parts for the headlight? My bracket snapped when my handle bars got loose and slammed it against the tire thank god light still works but bracket and everything got destroyed or lost while I was riding at night
The frame is overly plain and open. Like something is missing.. The motor! The battery is smallish.. For a gas tank. It looks homemade to me. Bars look narrow. Like a folding bike.
Exactly. You have to see one to appreciate it. It's SOLID. And who wants a bunch of crap hanging on their bike....it only slows you down. Buy one of those other ebikes and take it off a curb. @@Goreptiles
Luckily I own the S2 and also Z1 both bikes are amazing! The look, the style, the uniqueness and it’s like no other bike out there…it’s just so niche! Materials are amazing , I added on my S2 a 10 gear speed, low enduro handlebar, speedster seat, In-frame molle and last but not least the rear rack! It looks like a freaking Cafe Racer! With this bike, I can’t stop ppl stopping by asking me “ what the hell is this?” There is a saying “ When the fox doesn't get to reach the grapes, he says they are unripe “ That’s what everyone’s doing here … if you can’t afford it don’t complain about saying that they are overpriced!
i think its not just that its high cost but its Over valued meaning you do not get what you pay for mainly compared to the market . of course there's sunk cost fallacy . you seem like you put together a great rig with yours . its just that some great moped type ebikes will come with all that extra stuff , move power, more speed even , better build and still lower price . I agree that "the ebike you ride is the best one" . But for those folks about to choose i'd not recommend s-73 even if you had a million bucks , there are products passing it by on many levels while 73 chooses to sit still imho
Is the newest torque update applied? Also, I find I get most power uphills with throttle AND pedalling. I have the RX almost 3 years now and want to buy the S2 for my son, but there are faster and cheaper alternatives today than there was 3 years ago. This company needs to lower their prices and improve their torque if they want to stay ahead of their competition.
I have already few chinese ebikes with fat tires but always when super73 ride against me I fill like I have copy not real bike, is something in this bikes that make them better just with one look on it, soon I will buy one but in europe rx what i want cost 5K eurod.... I think I will keep my other cheap fatbike for shopping and ride in rain and my future super73 just to enjoying riding. I saw there is so many upgrade parts and also big comunity and people do group rides on this bikes which is unique .
super73 is SO overpriced and over rated . especially with every ebike company having massive price cuts right now . Nope . maybe they could partner with LunaCycles or Electric Bike Company to customize or something or i feel they will price themselves Out of the market soon
Super73 the "e-Moto" of choice for parents of 11-15 year old middle/high schoolers in wealthy white SoCal communities, leading to emergency ordinances for kids riding dangerously on e-Bikes. When will you be reviewing Super73's iconic electric balance bike for 4-8 year olds?
3300$ for this. i guess im not seeing why hahaha they must want to close up shop i get it now, for 2k my wired freedom blows this snail out of the water.
revv1 is better in every way an 1k cheaper compare this hil test to the hille test of the revv1. th-cam.com/video/GeI_LExT0Gw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0GMtJVbAuuiixoIA in the time the super73 took to climb throttle only, the revv1 climbed it throttle only and by pedaling. in other words, the revv1 climbed it twice.
How this design ever found a buyers market, is beyond me. It's so visually underwhelming, it's almost like Super73 allowed their child to design it as a homeschooling project.

S2 cost 300 bucks in china. How much did u buy it for??
Wow, thank you for the objective testing, it clearly shows how bad this bike is at any price. So overpriced it should be a crime.
What alternatives would you recommend in the same style?

Over 3 grand for this very simple looking ebike, so I have to pass!

How is pedaling with a non-adjustable wide seat? Is chafing a problem on extended rides?
It can be on all moto/moped-style bikes with similar saddles. Pedaling on the S2 was better than most of the ones we've tested though.

ps: l want rear suspension because no matter how cushy the seat is, l want more.
