- Hey guys! Join me in this video where I spend a (somewhat) productive week in my studio. I continue to prepare for Summer Art Markets and Craft Fairs and I'm also starting a new oil painting and considering my commitment to acrylic paint going forward. I make some artwork for my kids bedrooms and much more, thanks so much for joining me!

Your market setup is lovely Alex, a beautiful vibe. I wish you all the best with the upcoming market 🙂
Thank you Chrissie 🥰
your layout booth looks nice🥰 the white makes everything look very clean
Thanks so much 🥰
I so want to try oils, because they look like so much fun and they blend so much better (from what I’ve gathered). But with little fingers around I don’t feel comfortable using it yet and I still like the process on acrylic painting a bit better 😊. Oh and one more thing: I’m not very patient and oils do take more time to dry.
Yes they are quite the adjustment from acrylics, the drying time is particularly challenging
Looks beautiful!!!!
Thank you 🥰
love this! Such a peaceful vlog.
Thanks Annabelle! I love watching yours too you’re a talented lady! 🥰

Always love your videos ❤❤
Thank you so much! 🥰
If you put some solvent like Gamsol or mineral spirits or turpentine in a jar then you can rinse out your brushes while you’re working and not contaminate them, but not have to wash them right now.
Thank you Madison I have a lot to learn, I will get some gamsol and give it a try 🥰
Thank you 🥰
wow loved spending my time watching you woohoo lovely fish
Your cards are lovely!
I'm going to be applying for my very first market at the end of this month, if I get accepted it will be in July and I am so excited! ☺️
Ahh good luck! I did my first one last year, it’s so nerve wracking but really fun! Hope it goes well 🤩
I have tried craft or farmers markets (as they call them here). Not with my paintings, but with crochet (when I was very obsessed with the yarns and hooks 😅). Markets can be so rewarding and fun, but I did find it a lot of work, energy and time invested for little return. I don’t think it’s for everyone and you have to be honest with yourself about what works for you. I have kiddos and don’t have family nearby that could help with the markets or childcare. So…maybe a future endeavour when they are older and don’t need me around all the time.
You’re supposed to add a little bit of water to the cleaning soap. It makes it easier too. You can wipe out the dirty part after you get done.
suggestion: use some artist’s tape to set the painting in place then turn over. It’s archival. It’s not gonna hurt your painting and it will make it a lot easier.
Thanks Madison I will try this ❤
What size is the banner please? Thank you
