nonsernse, Brian, Chris, and Marlyn need as many HP as they can get. Some can roll, and some can save, and some can make the DM go :pffft yea I guess thast will work"

I see a lot of dislike for Lucky and Savage Attacker in particular. It's true that Lucky doesn't work for rerolling bad rolls but on the flip side it is on demand Advantage. There are a ton of ways to get advantage, but it would be nice to have this in your back pocket in case those other conditions aren't met. Would this work with Brutal Strike? You have to forego the advantage from reckless attack and all other sources of advantage, but could you apply Lucky before the attack after giving those up? I would have to see the exact wording.
Savage Attacker only applies to weapon die but isn't restricted to melee weapons. It is definitely better on characters that only get one or two attacks per turn and is probably best on Great Weapons, 2d6 ones in particular. Champion fighters and other crit fishing builds will also like this because they will get advantage on their crit damage. Maybe this is me reaching to find a niche for Savage Attacker, but I do think a niche for it exists.
I do agree that Crafter is bad. If I had player that wanted to Craft, I would rework the feat for them. The only logic I can see behind the item falling apart after 24 hours is that you slapped it together two hours before you went to bed (you still get the full benefits of a Long Rest and the item).

Good point on the "advantage in the pocket" point. I was just looking at how each point worked in a vacuum and not how it would interact with things like sneak attack.
My understanding is that you have go forgo the advantage from reckless attack to get brutal strike, so other forms of advantage would still apply, I think.
2d6 weapons are much less "swingy" in the damage they roll. Thanks to the bell curve, the vast majority of rolls will be within a couple points of each other. Because of this, it is much less likely that either roll will be at the extremes of the weapon's damage range. On a crit fisher build, it might be helpful. You are right that there is a niche that exists for it. But having a small niche for a feat doesn't really make it a good feat. There will always be instances where something is good, and what makes a good feat is how often it would be useful and the degree at which it is useful.
I want to design an entire crafting system, an actual harvesting/crafting system, for my players. I saw a video about making one the other day and I really liked it. For magic items, you could spend the gold to get the ingredients to craft something. You could also go find the ingredients. If I wanted a potion of giant strength, I have to go get the sweat of a giant. If you have the sweat, now the cost is reduced on you crafting. Have checks for gathering, have checks for creating, all of which have different effects on successes and failures.
Anyway, thanks for the well thought out reply. You make some good points and I appreciate the feedback.

@@hackthedungeon I like your crafting idea a lot. My first thought, without overhauling the crafting system wholesale, was to let players who have proficiency in both a skill and a tool related to the item they are crafting, half the crafting time. Proficiency in Arcana and Calligrapher's supplies craft scrolls twice as fast as Crafters that are only proficient in one.

I can switch my iniative as a caster? Really? You sure you want to do that with me? /gigglel ok, let's do it.... As to the healing, i like our patch with lvl of the cleric as the minimum

It is certainly something that could be very game breaking. The minimum healing being equal to the caster level is a good way to ensure higher level characters with tons of HP still benefit from it.
