bro don't kid yourself I just saw them last month in Nottingham England and I saw them in Sheffield England years ago and they packed those arenas out. absolutely they have the recognition they are titans in the metal scene.
My favorite band of all time! They are (even now) amazing live!

Peace through strength, Biz! When I joined the Air Force at the age of 19, I had already seen 3 consecutive Maiden tours. (Killers, Number of the Beast, and Piece of Mind). I have tix to see them in September. You should catch them at a venue near you!
I am 52, my first Maiden concert was Number of the Beast tour 1982, I was 13! Oakland, Ca. Seen them 6 times.

Bruce Dickenson is a licenced commercial pilot. He flew the Maiden tour plane Flight 666. He also was a pro Fencer (swords---Olympic level).
NOW, you need to watch them in one of the latest concerts doing this song, the stage show for this song is unbelievable! They have a plane (full size) on stage above them, (inflatable) but you'd never know it! 🤘😈
Their last few tours they rented an airplane & Bruce (the singer) was the pilot. It's on TH-cam flight 666

I saw Maiden waaay back when Quiet Riot opened for them. I've seen alot of bands in concert but Maiden was my favorite.
Maiden was my first show.....piece of mind tour.

Maiden is best live in concert for sure
So much to like about this video. Song is about the Battle of Britain, and the actual combat footage combined with the lyrics is just so cool. Whether it’s the frenetic guitar simulating a dogfight in this song or the galloping guitar in The Trooper simulating a cavalry charge…we love Maiden!

The Battle of Britain was the first battle in history to be fought entirely in the air. Hitler had taken most of Europe, he set his sights on breaking England with aerial bombardments to goad them into peace talks or a potential invasion. That being said, i'm a pilot, it is indeed expensive, even as just a hobby. I spend most of my flying time just staying current as I have to rent. Instrument-flying is very procedural and you can lose your skills if you don't maintain it, every six months I have to fly six instrument approaches plus a hold. My of my flight time is spent doing just that. If you fly a lot, then buying an airplane can actually be less-expensive as cost-of-ownership goes down the more you fly.

The intro to the music video was real footage from World War II ... the speech was the UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill's speech, as England was facing the nazi German wave of bombings in 1940/ '41... Known as 'The Blitz', UK Royal Air Force and the German Luftwaffe engaged in aerial battles for months. 40K civilians were killed in those attacks...
It wasn't until D-day in 1944, when the Allied Forces (USA, Britain, etc.) launched the massive Normandy landings and began the liberation of France from nazi Germany, followed by the rest of Europe... World War II finally ended in 1945.
I had 6 great uncle's all brothers who were part of the invasion. (Americans)
They all made it home.
Winston Churchill was the man.
@@philpiercy2588 Unfortunately, he was also an avid white supremacist, who oversaw the British empire's worst policies in India in the 1940's. He hated Mahatma Gandhi and wished him dead... Churchill also hated black, colored & Indian subcontinent folks like me... called us "beastly people".
I give credit where credit is due - Churchill helped to win the fight against nazi Germany, but he wasn't too far from Hitler's ideals.
At least he wasn't General Lee or Nathan Bedford Forrest... That's just how I feel.
