Very informative video! Just a note about the SID at KRAL. The holding pattern is used to climb from 1800 to a safe altitude as noted at the bottom of the chart: "At PDZ VOR, continue climb in PDZ holding pattern to cross PDZ VOR at or above 5000 or higher MEA for route of flight before proceeding on course."
Thank you for the comment, I did mention in the video that hold is there for a reason, just never come to my mind it is for climbing. Thank you for the info, that is the point of all this, to learn something from each other.

Lucky I'm not a real Pilot or they would probably be scrapping me off the Mountains around Palm Springs but now with your help I may be able to make a proper FP. By the way. You mentioned the waypoint SBONO which is out in the Mojave desert wilderness. Perhaps named after Cher's ex husband Sonny Bono of Sonny and Cher fame. He moved to Palm Springs later in life and eventually became its mayor. Having a waypoint named for you must be one of the perks perhaps?
