I’ve never seen a man put up so many 50-60+ yard touchdowns and outrun EVERYONE on he field at all times . This man is flash
Track speed and football speed, two different speeds 😂. If you fast on the track your fast af on the field
Devin Hester
@@AverageMOEgym besides Hester lol. Hester was just different. Another animal
The way this guy runs, reminds me of Bo Jackson.
@@AverageMOEgymthis guy was quicker than hester
WOW.. Just WOW.. never even heard of this guy and the highlights show him to be a amazing player for the old gators team!! keep it up great content..
The good ol days for me 😂👴🏿🐊🐊🐊
This is nostalgic 😢 this Florida team had SPEED 13-1
Woow how have I never heard of this guy??🤯 fastest football player I’ve ever seen in my entire life this speed is unmatched🔥🔥 what a player!
because he chose the amateur olympic life over the league.
@@UnderwaterAlexJonesAmateur means you don't get paid. Jeff got paid to run. I knew a guy way slower than Jeff & made 5K per track meet. Track sprinters are paid decently well.
NCAA Football 07 and 08 online with them was great times man
Seen him live when I played at Eustis hs he was at southlake never seen a faster human in person even our coaches were amazed!!
This man was an absolute beast as a UGA fan I couldn’t stop watching him Percy Harvin and Chris Rainy they were amazing to watch 💯💯💯💯
I never understood why he didn’t go to the NFL
Track athletes are weird like that. Most of them have this weird love for track over football.
He did. He skipped the 2012 combine and draft to prepare for the 2012 Olympics in track. Afterwards, he played briefly with both the Pats and Colts before he was let go.
He did go - he played for 3 teams 📌
There was an athlete who played football at HillHouse High School in New Haven Ct named Terrell Wilkes and he ran track as well and went to Florida with them will demps and them boas, stupid stupid fast
@@sshawnbr3. Athlete. Not just a football player. Big difference!
similar to raheem morris & achane in MIA
5:37 QB signalling TD before he's even got to the line of scrimmage
2:17 was nasty how he made the Tennessee players run into each other. 😮
This man is Tyreek hill without a HOF coach turning him into a real football player
Jeffrey Demps is fast. But so is the ball boy at 3:03.
Sorry ball boy no equipment
Amazing - wonder why his NFL career never took off
Makes no sense to me that an NFL coach wouldn't use his speed the way he should have been used. Jeff though is in fact the fastest RB in NFL history with his 10.01 & is the 3rd fastest ever with that time behind Trendon Holliday 10.00 twice & Jim Hines 9.95.
The Archetype for today’s slot receivers and runningbacks
Sheesh ❗️
Track speed different.
5:38 ankles gave up😂
Was he a 4.16 guy
What years did he play , and what happened to him ?
He played from 2008-2011. Decided to pursue a career in track and field. He did play in the NFL for a couple of years but mostly focused on track.
Its like of Tyreek was a RB, but faster
DBs are sweating
Jeff "Daylight = 6" Demps
I was really hoping he woud have worked out when he was a Patriot.
No doubt this guy is a freak, but #31 for Miami Oh, I think I'm faster than that guy
Respectfully, most football fans are unaware of two facts.
1st fact, Jeff Demps is the 3rd fastest football player in NFL history & football history.
2nd fact, he is, in fact, the fastest RB in NFL or any level in history.
No one talks about these facts at all.
Fastest men in NFL history (100 meter sprint) :
1. Jim Hines 9.95
2. Trendon Holliday 10.00 (twice)
3. Jeff Demps 10.01
4. Jacoby Ford 10.01
5. Bob Hayes 10.06
And some serious perspective:
22. Tyreek Hill 10.19
Not even in the top 100 fastest men ever in NFL history:
Chris Johnson & John Ross ran the same exact legal 100 meter time 10.66
Xavier Worthy 10.65
That's how fast Jeff Demps was. The NFL combines 40 yard dash is inaccurate bc it's semiautomatic timed. There is no way the last 3 men I mentioned with their inaccurate 40 yard dashes can come close to Demps world class speed. Track runners in HS will blow out Xavier, Chris & John.
The NFL combines 40 yard dash had Holliday at 4.31 & Demps at 4.34. Lmfao. This is laughable.
Anyway, those are the facts.
The 40 is about raw power and explosive strength. Football players train for that by doing heavy Squats and power cleans and dead lifts. Stride Length and frequency is the key.
Trindon Holiday takes too many steps in his 40 yards. If Holiday was powerful enough to take one step off he could go 4.00 or lower in the 40. Christian Coleman is one of the greatest starters in track history. He ran a 4.12 in the 40 while at UT. However, he gets walked down after 60 m and have to hold on for dear life to win the 100 m.
On the flip side, Noah Lyles is probably running closer to a 4.34 forty but walks everyone down at 60 m. So a 4.2 forty does not have to translate to a 10.00 100 m. Track athletes train to hit max velocity between 40 m and 60 m, then maintain that speed from 60 to 80 m before decelerating the last 20 m.
Its all about technique and paying attention to detail. With the focus on specific training for each discipline.
How about Chris Rainey? 🤔
chris rainey had gotten draffted by the steelers than let go
Devon achane’s father
With this guy being so fast I'm starting to wonder if the average football player is kinda slow. Hear me out. I ran a 12 second 100 M dash. He runs a 10 second 100 M. I was average fast. He's fast fast. Usain Bolt fastest 100 M is 9. Something. That means almost any Olympic Sprinter would do this in the NFL.
Yeah but most of them aren’t built to play football… one hit from a lb or safety and that ball is flying loose… also most aren’t gonna be as shifty and have the ball carrier vision as Jeff demps, he was truly something.
@TheKingCavanaugh true. But let's be honest most sprinters got some toughness to them.
@@TheKingandTheDawgthat's why I think flag football is so interesting. It attracts players with different builds and often higher speed. Players that couldn't normally play NFL football. I'm excited for its debut in the summer Olympics.
Was he drafted?
Something that I heard a running back say that stuck with me for years is
"Im nothing without my offensive lineman"
When u are able to sprint and hold endurance...your very dangerous
It look like the video being sped up when he run 😳
Made Tebow actually look like a good quarterback
Tim played in the NFL, did you? I think Tim is a much better QB than you can ever be!
I am amazed people dunno about the speed demon 10.02 100 and 4.24 forty played for few pro teams and still competes at a high level in track to this day what hurt him is he’s only 5ft 7 not built for a every down back in the NFL football was a lot more physical in the 90’s
Jeff is the fastest RB in NFL history with a 10.01 & 3rd overall. Barry Sanders was 5'7". Height wasn't the problem. It was the ignorance of NFL coaches. How do you ignore the fact that Jeff is that fast & never use him. Of I was a coach I would have used him the way Rocket Ismail was used at Notre Dame. Just bone head coaches in the NFL.
Lastly Jeff didn't play in the 90s. He played maybe 10 years ago tops.
Tim Tebow was basic, any qb could've won with that team.
Man still threw for over 3000 yds and alot of rushing yds Tebow was solid fr
