The song is about the great fire from Notre Dame de Paris, 15 April 2019, and perhaps the "curious" death (a "falling" during a mountain hicking) of the general Jean Louis Georgelin in the summer 2023. ..He was choosen by french president Macron to be the chief of the rebuilding (wich is not finished now in 2024) of Notre Dame and the new investigations about this huge fire (at that time, the french police did not find anything, and concluded as an accident, no terrorism as a lot of poeple were saying, the general was choosen after that ) ! Hé hé who pushed him ;) That's why you see flammes sometimes in the video ... And Morrissey sung this song in the summer 2023, curious is'nt it ^^ ?
Yes its a great track. His voice is amazing considering this is live. It’s from his next album but he has no record deal so who knows! Nothing is straightforward when it comes to Morrissey! He’s coming out with his best work since he started 40 years in my opinion. Which is pretty amazing.
