    With the M-Tronic system: Let the saw run for 5-10 seconds at idle before you turn it off; The saw will remember the last choke settings.
    She should start easier next time you pull!

      @@arbo-grodno-man Let the chainsaw warm up in idle and just blip the throttle A BIT for at least 20-30 seconds, do NOT go full speed with a cold engine you're asking for an engine seize to happen. Take this advice or it will cost you alot of money at some point. Cheers.

      @@markatkinson9963 Not really, but not letting a chainsaw warm up for at least 30 seconds before going full speed like that cuts on the life of the piston, and it can indeed cause a cold seize if he uses cheap oil or less than 40:1 ratio. I guess this guy is rich and doesn't care that his saw will die 2 times quicker than someone that knows basic engine starting procedures.

  • @mountainviewcattle

    You should wear some big rubber boots with your pant legs over the boots so give you more protection and also an overlap so you don't get sawdust or wood chips in your socks. Stihl and Husqvarna both make big orange rubber chainsaw boots. you should get a pair.

    I run a 261 CM as my "small saw" and a 562 XP as my "big saw" I actually like the 261 better for general cutting, but the 562 is an absolute ripper. I usually will grab ms 261 as my first choice.

    • @scaf_007vs3
      @scaf_007vs3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your comment stuck out to me. I've owned 3 Husky 562xp because the power, weight, and balance is absolutely phenomenal! Having said that, the 562 isn't without flaw, mainly the tensioner tends to go bad quite a bit too soon. I'm just curious how a comparable stihl measures up as far as my top 3 categories: power, weight, and balance

    • @daddyrabbit835
      @daddyrabbit835 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scaf_007vs3 The Stihl 362 CM is the direct competitor to the 562XP. So I bet that would be a better comparison. I like the inboard clutch on the Stihls to be honest. It makes taking the bar/chain off much easier. My 261c is a smaller saw than the 562, which means lighter. It's no slug when it comes to smaller work, but tends to bog down in the bigger stuff. It starts and runs perfect, and I like how it handles. It feels more balanced with an 20" bar, but so does my 562 xp. I'd love to try the 362 CM to see how it feels and runs.

    There are way too many videos on TH-cam of people operating chainsaws wearing cotton tracksuit trousers like this gentleman, and no head protection to speak of. It’s only a matter of time before you take yourself out. Wear protective gear folks, chainsaw trousers and a helmet and visor and ear protection as a minimum.
