Hot damn, that's good. My grandpa and his lifelong buddy used to play this. Frank Dalton was his name and he could wear out a banjo. Nothing like that work of art you use so well. Pa on his autoharp Frank on banjo and Cap Ayers on his dulcimer. Ain't I blessed to have witnessed that?
Banjo seems to sound great. Wish there was a video comparing and discussing mountain vs traditional banjos. Guess I'm gonna have to build one myself and see. Good video and great playing 👍
Wonderful stuff. Loving the banjo. I'm just about to make one but I'm undecided as to whether to fret it or not. After seeing you play and hearing the instrument I'm veering towards unfretted. Great vid. 👍🏻👍🏻
hello from Oklahoma where tornado chasing is a sport. wish you would give a brief lesson on how you do that rythmic stroke you use. You have the best sounding stroke ive heard. Im trying to learn that.
Damnit. Now i gotta buy a banjo when i probably shouldnt be dropping that kinda cash. Any recommendation on brand or price amount? Btw that playin was KILLER, that tune is addictive to listen to
All timey

I appreciate you showing us the craftsmanship of the banjo before ABSOLUTELY fuckin shredding it!
Fantastic! It's great to see someone enjoying their music like that, you've got that banjo singing!
This grooves and rocks and jigs
Bless You young Man. Ray Hicks once said he never figured out why a banjer had frets. You proved him right.

Hey Addy - I absolutely love this but can't work out the tuning, could you tell me how you're tuned?
Hey James, I'm tuned in standard here but probably 3 steps lower
At 57sec

New or second hand I'd recommend a ephiphone, Barnes and Mullins, fender.
carver banjos makes affordable kits. he makes a mountain banjo like this
Gotta pat your feet to that one.
Wow well played. Incredibly nice mountain banjo. Does your friend have a place online where he sells them?
He does not have a designated website, but he said you can reach him on Facebook Messenger @Jesper Fechtenburg.

Is that tree branch marked for removal, deer's blood, ?
