About Me
My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.

Funny how Chipman said that photo of him at Waco wasn't him actually him, then he said that it wasn't an ATF agent at all. So according to Chipman then, some random guy walked into the burnt down compound, wearing woodland camo pants like other ATF agents did, holding a rifle, posed for a picture, and then left?
There were more agencies involved than just the ATF. The man in the picture could also have been from the FBI, US Customs, Texas Rangers, Texas National Guard, etc.

not in the military but ik a lot of combat vets and infantry men, and some have told me that the only issue they have with "larpers" are when they wear certain patches, like a ranger or force recon patch, reason is cause they didn't earn it
I have two patches given me by the French Foreign legion, including the Black Cat Patrol ( thanks Dominic) I will damage anyone who tries to take them. On FOB MF. Those Frogs were the best.
Frankly that's the exact reason I don't get military style patches. It feels disrespectful to me to wear that patch I didn't earn, or wasn't given.

I think the interpretation people have taken including Brandon is the least charitable interpretation of his words possible and you can easily sway from thinking what he said is correct or incorrect due to your own interpretation of what sort of groups he is talking about.

Gotta add this too, I was at an outdoor range in N Georgia a couple years ago. And this marine shows up in full uniform, plate carrier, etc. It’s a pretty strict range because it’s on the Chattahoochee National Forest. So I hear him ask the range officer if he could do some “rapid fire drills” because he was being deployed soon. So the range officer called cease fire and we all took a step back to watch the professional. He sets 3/4 targets out at 15, 20, and 25 yards. He unloads a 30 rd mag and didn’t even get close to hitting his targets. Needless to say it was hard not to laugh, considering he couldn’t hit targets with his m4 that us civilians were hitting all day with our sidearms.
As a vet who was a marksman when he joined, most people in the military are absolute trash with a gun. And Dakota didn't deserve the MoH.
When someone tells me they were military my expectations of their shooting ability actually goes down

There’s a dude on my college campus who wears mandalorian armor literally whenever he’s not in his room. He even eats and drinks in it, there’s enough room between the mask and his face for him to slip food and drinks up there. It’s awesome.

That's about it. That's why they are called grunts. People watch way too many Hollywood movies and play too many video games. Your perception of them is not realistic, they are not John Wick.. Someone who has years of shooting experience is going to be significantly better than them when a lot of them have never fired a rifle before joining. If you want to see some amazing shooters watch professional competitive shooters. Nobody even comes close to them.

Hunters have been wearing camouflage clothing for hundreds (or more) years and people have been wearing different types of body armor for thousands of years. Neither is limited to having to be a veteran (of which I am) to wear.
Hunters were wearing patterned camouflage before the military ever adopted it as common issue.
The best advances to small arm technology have happened thanks to civilians. Military arms development has largely sucked over the recent past.

@@anarcho-savagery2097 Vietnam era was mostly OD green though except for some more elite units who got ERDL (predecessor to Woodland pattern that was based on ERDL) and was actually designed shortly after WW2 but not used until decades later.
I prefer solid colors to camo anyway. Od green and coyote tan being my favorites. My favorite camo pattern if i had to pick one would be flecktarn.

Time and place. Situational awareness.
The only times anyone will see me in full kit is at the range or in the mountains practicing in my gear. Sometimes lol, at home to practice mag changes. But that's in my home! That's private.
However, although tactical stuff is cool and you should 100 percent practice in it and familiarize and get good in it and maintain a good overall physical and mental shape... you shouldnt be living in it. Even the most elite military units dont live in their gear.
You should also try and not advertise yourself. How many people have seen that one guy in 5.11 pants and a condor soft shell jacket with edgy patches on it in walmart? Yeah. Everyone... once in awhile you'll see that. Dont be that guy. That's making it your entire personality. You can tell a lot about personality based on the cloths a person wears. Casual Militant clothing indicates a militant personality... which is completly fine to have, just dont advertise it. Remember restraint is cool, restrain youself from advertizing.
Boys are boys, we grow up using sticks as guns and swords, and using pots and pans as shields and helmets. The only thing that ever changes is the quality of our gear. We move on to real swords and real guns (except on each other) and real armor. Most people don't do it in an attempt to pose as the real deal, it's just fun. I can see why someone who has been there and done that might take offense, but then again, the majority of cops are good and get treated poorly regardless, so I would much rather have a bunch of people like my job so much that they pretend to be one of us rather than everyone hating it so much that they just assume we're all worthless garbage. Which, results in people murdering cops because "they shot someone!" (who deserved it)
