I will definitely be rewatching this once I get serious about investing. Currently focusing on paying off debt but I like looking ahead and starting to prepare. Investing was the boogy man but I think you've explained it really well here!

When I was 30 I bought my first stock, one I kept, the other I sold a couple,years later. The smaller of the two was a $1700 investment in 1987. That position is now worth about $35,000 after reinvesting the dividends after 30-plus years.
I'm not an investor yet besides my work retirement plan but I look forward to doing outside investing to diversify as you have explained. I love the very clear and concise explanations. I appreciate the share.

Can you talk about stock options and I have a question do you have to sell an stock option that you bought in order to make a profit or can you make a profit by buying it and keeping it.
