That was rather noce turnout. Lovely cars. That Citroen was delicious. That Jaguar was quite nice too. You know which one. Thanks for taking us along. We dont get to see some of these cars in the US.

Thanks for letting me see an event I would normally never get to attend. I'm in sensory overload and about to pass out. Cheers

One or two very interesting cars. The Mk2 RS2000 was my dream car as a teenager. I never had one of course.
The guy on a mobility scooter with a cowboy hat must get about. I'm almost certain he lives near me too!
    Best wishes, Dean.

I was wondering who has priority: Mobility scooter or TVR?!

Thanks Ian, I really enjoyed a blast down memory lane, both in terms of cars and of the Oadby village centre. I haven't been there for well over 30 yrs so good to see it looking so well. Looking forward to seeing your 2 litre line up with the rest of the classics.

I'm glad you were there earlier because I was running late and missed many of these cars and some were gone when I arrived. It was amusing to see a friend of mine arriving in the Jaguar.(passenger). Amusing also to hear the pelican light crossing beeping in your video as well. As you said, it must be on automatic. Great video. james.

You also captured the Bentleys that I missed. I think we covered a lot between us :)

@@ac2litre I was pleased to see the two Bentleys as I have a passion for these older models. I'll be following the progress on your car too. Also I notice there's another car event at the Race course Sunday 20th Aug. Usually more vehicles at that one.

I wonder what time you made this video because my car wasn't in it.. I think I must have arrived after you finished.. I made a video as well so mine probably carries on after your's finished.. My car is the Red Turbo R parked outside Firey Pizza, shown in my video but not in yours.. I was a bit later arriving. I think it was a great show and your video shows me what was happening before I arrived, so I can see what I missed, thanks.. Best Wishes Ron

I watched and enjoyed your video, Ron. Sorry to have missed your fine looking Bentley. I recorded between about 10.30 and 11.30. Cheers, Ian.

@@ac2litre I was late, I think I arrived about 12.30 and some cars had gone which is why I got to park where I did.. I was amazed to see another Vermillion Red Bentley there as well, I meant to make comment in my video but by the time I finished editing it, I forgot. There's a video by James Hutton as well which actually shows me going around with the camera.. I don't know him other than exchanging a few comments on TH-cam,like we are doing here.. I only bought the Bentley last year, knowing nothing about Bentley or RR and considering I have no mechanical skills and I bought sold as seen with no warranty, I think I got fairly lucky because they are cheap to buy, at that age, not sure why but I'm told they can bankrupt you if they go wrong so I spent a few days thinking what have I done but then I sort of got into it, researching history, replacing bits that had gone walkabout during it's previous life, going to car meets etc.. I just wanted to drive a Bentley, I had never had anything like it before and I think the SZ shape is the best looking and I love the colour. It can certainly keep up with modern traffic, in fact modern traffic has a job to keep up with the Bentley if I press the loud pedal down hard.. it's happy on the motorway.. if I had your skills I would make it perfect but that's not gonna happen unless the next owner does it.. I'm just driving it and trying not to spend too much money although I did replace the cherry red Lambswool Rugs that were missing. It's a nice car. I'm going to keep it for a while until it gets too much for me and has to move on. So far, so good. I just saw it advertised on eBay classifieds at a car dealer about 30 miles away.. I have to say, that although I bought it with no warranty, the car dealer has been really good. I had it serviced and MOTed etc there, after it failed at my local garage.. he sourced new tyres and replaced a suspension bush and gave it a service and took it for an MOT which it passed. So I've been lucky. I made a rash purchase but it's worked out ok.. there's still a few things that could be done but nothing that stops me driving and enjoying it.. I think the Turbo R is probably the best Bentley ever made, better than the equivalent RR at the time with the extra road handling and big turbo.. cheers Ron

A somewhat mundane assortment of 60's tintops with a couple of exceptions to excite pukka pistonheads : as a regular follower of your AC rebuild I know you must have felt similar disappointment. At first I took the white Citroen decapotable to be a Brit.built 12/8 , but the DVLA tells me the engine size to be 1911cc , not 1628cc , so it's a Light 15 alright ,and a late prewar model as it sports the lovely Michelin 'Pilote' wheels which were only fitted in '38 & '39 ; The Morris Six , alias post war 'Isis', is a rare sight . More of the Wolseley variants seem to have survived .

Some of the prewar cars seen in earlier years were up for sale. 30 years ago, we had 3 prewar ACs at a local event. Now, I think we have to attend larger events to see much from pre-1955.
