No offense but I think that raging bull does not give much of the adrenaline thrill that max force and Goliath give. While riding I never felt nervous on any turns or drops but while riding Goliath and max force I was filled with adrenaline for each turn. That’s what I want for a roller coaster.

I used to live near Midway Airport, so going to Great America was a significant time commitment. I'm not really much of a roller coaster guy, but I did enjoy riding the American Eagle and the Demon. Thanks for giving me a taste of so many roller coasters that I probably will never experience in real life.

The demon is fun! But all the pain I get on my head and my ears from all the bumping make me not want to ride it. I usually scream in rides but I was clenching my jaw hard so I wouldn’t bite my tongue. It’s too rough for me.
Demon is one of my favorites as well. It was my first looping coaster back in 1999 and I still ride it every time I visit my former home park. Demon is very underrated and it is a shame people have such low tolerance for bumpy rides these days. I remember when this thing always had a line and ran three trains!
Eagle doesn't race anymore due to structural concerns with the helix at the far end. they don't want to risk damaging the structure by sending both trains through it simultaneously.
I remember when they stopped racing it. They only ran the red side the 4 or 5 seasons that I went there, before they finally started running both, but staggering their dispatches.
Fun fact: The Demon originally opened with the park in 1976, but with only the two corkscrews. The place where the loops are now was originally the site of a few airtime hills. I don’t know if it’s cause this video is a few years old now, but I rode Viper last month and that was one of the roughest wooden roller coasters i’ve been on, seemed like a good ride but I was being bounced around to much too enjoy it
Thank you for the list. I mostly disagreed with it, but it was fun to see an outsider's perspective of my what was my home park from 1995-2016. Raging Bull is the best ride in the park for the back row main drop (no matter how many other hypercoasters I ride, nothing seems to top that drop for some reason) but I also love the ride for it's length. My 2nd favorite ride no longer exists at Great America: Shockwave. This mostly forgotten Arrow Megalooper was WAY more intense then it's sister coasters. To this day it is one of the most intense roller coasters I have ever ridden. It was also absolutely beautiful to look at and arriving in the parking lot and hearing that epic Arrow anti rollback sound echo through the whole parking lot...man I miss that. Third best for me will go to Goliath. The airtime is spectacular and the Zero G Stall is my all time favorite inversion. I think it is a little underrated among the RMC's. Great America's best strength in it's coaster lineup is it's variety. There really is something for everyone. The only coaster that I truly dislike in the park is Joker because I despise 4D Free Spins---otherwise it is a wonderful coaster lineup and an even more fascinating park history.
In my personal opinion, X-Flight is my favorite ride. This is mostly because of the fact that it’s such a unique coaster design and it was the second wing coaster built in the United States. The layout of the coaster with it’s theming and how smooth it feels makes it a very thrilling experience while not being too rough. I do agree with your comment about the restraints. They actually tighten quite a bit during the ride and have a tendency to put a lot of unnecessary pressure on the torso and hip area.
@@CanobieCoaster it is very hit or miss i must say. I think folks have a better shot when the park is less busy, as those seconds add up throughout the day. Just a small observation i have noted.
went to six flags for the first time and went on my first ever rollercoaster ride yesterday!! i loved batman and x flight. i went on them both 3 times.
this is my home park, although ive only gone once - which unfortunately was when i was afraid of roller coasters. however, i did do a few even though i was afraid of them (mainly because my friends wanted me to) but i didn’t regret it. i had a limited amount of time and had no fast passes or anything but was able to get to x flight, goliath, and raging bull in 4 hours. i now enjoy roller coasters, so i may go back later this summer, or for fright fest.
I need to try their drop tower. I decided to skip it on my first visit and went on ricochet because I had never experienced that type of ride before. I love the view that great America’s drop tower gives! Also, X-flight is very underrated, I wonder why six flags never purchased any more wing coasters.
Summers in Libertyville in the early 90s... my season pass to GA costing all of $40 bucks back then...Big money but so worth it at a few NES games expenses. They even had like little dance parties too. Back then I loved Superman and Batman the Ride...
Maxx’s launch is amazing. A friend of mine said it’s even better in the front row, so now i have to try that. My personal top 15 will very likely include Sky Striker when that opens but for now probably something like this Raging Bull Goliath Maxx Superman American Eagle Batman X-Flight Giant Drop Demon Viper V2 Whizzer Joker Condor Triple Play
I still have not gotten the guts to ride Maxx Force or Vertical Velocity. However Maxx Force looks absolutely beautiful and I feel I may ride it at some point. I put Raging Bull as #1 I love the scenery. Superman makes me laugh also because the pretzel loop is so intense I have gone back for more almost out of disbelief that it can be so intense and i think I almost passed out on it at one point. I love X-flight as well mostly at night it has a special kind of night feel to it. (Hard to explain) your knowledge of the park is really amazing and I feel you do a great job explaining anything in the park.
When i went to Six Flags i enjoyed most of the rides that where in this video. Nxt time i go back in definitely gonna get on X-Flight, American Eagle and Viper.
i worked as a lineman for the power company for 40+ years and had to work on live high voltage and climb 40 to 50 ft poles and had no fears but i can't do coasters but my wife will do some of them. the rides do look awesome and quite a sight to see but just not for me.
Most 'round here claim it is themed to the Championship Chicago Bulls basketball team, which is laughable, as the colors are not close at all, and MJ flew higher.
I personally think x flight is a bit slow and somewhat more boring, but i agree with the rest of the list. Personally, I think bull, viper, Goliath, and Maxx force are the best
Ik this is a baby ride but my favorite is the demon because it was my first real roller coaster and it’s been closed for a while and I don’t want it to close
See in RCDB: Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America Blue Tornado at Gardaland See those two inverted coasters, would you like to ride them again? What do you think? They have five inversions, but what do you think about the two coasters in terms of pacing, intensity, smoothness, tolerance, and what would you rate them?
my number one is still Goliath for that first drop and just being completely disoriented no 2 I always flip flop but I recently got a ride row 3 of American eagle and the airtime hills in the first half of the ride were wild might be number 2 now even though after the helix it’s completely dull
The line is so annoying for re rides now because it’s always empty. 20 years ago it used to be longer and have switchbacks all through where the kids area is, also used to have 2 hour waits and duel though
the launch of maxx force is amazing, i just absolutely hate that you cannot raise your hands due to the concrete tunnel you immediately pass thru, def knocks it down the list for me
Based on my visits in 2013 and 2018, my favorite ride is Goliath followed by X-Flight, Raging Bull, American Eagle, Whizzer, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, Superman: Ultimate Flight, Batman: The Ride, Buccaneer Battle, Yankee Clipper, Loggers Run, Vertical Velocity, The Dark Knight Coaster, Giant Drop, Demon and The Joker.
@@CanobieCoaster I have plans to go there next year while also going scuba diving in Lake Michigan. I do have one more question. If you hadn't included Tsunami Surge in this ranking, what would've been your 15th favorite ride?
Do you like or love the name "Goliath"? What do you think about Goliath at Six Flags Great America, Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Goliath at La Ronde?

I actually disagree with you saying Goliath is the worst RMC, The joker at discovery kingdom is a bit worse, I do not like the elements as much as Goliath, plus the Zero G stall is unlike any other RMC at the six flags parks.
V2 is my least favorite in the park and even ranks below some of my kid coaster credits, i got non stop head banging and it was so loud I got an instant headache
It had a compact layout, easy to clone, so many Six Flags parks had their Batman the Ride clone and the layout became known as the B&M Batman invert clone model. Six Flags Great Adventure had their Batman the Ride in 1993. Six Flags Magic Mountain had their Batman the Ride in 1994. Six Flags St Louis had their Batman the Ride in 1995. Six Flags Over Georgia had their Batman the Ride in 1997, and Six Flags Over Texas had their Batman the Ride in 1999. Then, both La Ronde and Parque Warner Madrid, opened their clones in 2002, respectively. The one at La Ronde was Vampire and the one at Parque Warner Madrid was Batman la Fuga. Then in 2003, Six Flags New Orleans had their Batman the Ride relocated from Thrill Valley, however after many issues with that park it was relocated to Six Flags Fiesta Texas as Goliath. When all those clones opened, what do you think? A) Negative, most enthusiasts disliked them because of the rough rides B) Ok, most enthusiasts found them to be fine rides C) Lackluster, most enthusiasts found them to be barely lateral based rides, often giving a 4 D) Acclaimed, most enthusiasts praised them because of the forceful rides
From what I rode this is my Six Flags Great America list: 1. Maxx Force 2. Goliath 3. Viper 4. Raging Bull 5. Batman 6. X Flight 7. Vertical Velocity 8. Superman 9. Demon 10. American Eagle 11. Demon might ve getting removed, ive been here 4 times this summer and it hasnt run any of those times, plus last time there was a wrecking ball and crane right next to it

@@CanobieCoaster oh i was just saying my thoughts on ur rankings LMAO. no criticism just opinions
I love how he has a little bit of trash talk for every ride!
I like to list pros and cons.
I don’t know if it’s cause this video is a few years old now, but I rode Viper last month and that was one of the roughest wooden roller coasters i’ve been on, seemed like a good ride but I was being bounced around to much too enjoy it
Viper was smooth when I rode it 2 months ago.
I agree they have strong variety. Shockwave looked really intense in videos.
It's a strong coaster.
The holding brake does work on vertical velocity. It just isn't used all the time.
I hope I get lucky to try it.
Nice!
this is my home park, although ive only gone once - which unfortunately was when i was afraid of roller coasters. however, i did do a few even though i was afraid of them (mainly because my friends wanted me to) but i didn’t regret it. i had a limited amount of time and had no fast passes or anything but was able to get to x flight, goliath, and raging bull in 4 hours. i now enjoy roller coasters, so i may go back later this summer, or for fright fest.
Well worth returning.
i’m going to six flags tomorrow and i need your guys’ opinion. should i ride the maxx force?
If it's open, ride it immediately. It has had a lot of downtime this year.
@@CanobieCoaster ok tysm
I need to try their drop tower. I decided to skip it on my first visit and went on ricochet because I had never experienced that type of ride before. I love the view that great America’s drop tower gives! Also, X-flight is very underrated, I wonder why six flags never purchased any more wing coasters.
Giant Drop has a strong case as their scariest ride. It's a fun ride though.
Is Whizzer a clone of the old Big Bend that opened at Six Flags Over Texas in 1971?
I think they're different, but similar.
American Eagle looks absolutely huge I might get here next year I want to pretty badly
It's a great park.
The log and boat ride, the Eagle and Demon. I haven't been there since 1999. I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
Well worth returning.
Great stuff.
Thanks!
Summers in Libertyville in the early 90s... my season pass to GA costing all of $40 bucks back then...Big money but so worth it at a few NES games expenses. They even had like little dance parties too. Back then I loved Superman and Batman the Ride...
Wow that's cheap!
do you recommend sitting in the very back for most/all coasters? or just raging bull specifically?
Raging Bull and Goliath in particular shine in the back.
I love your rankings for this park!
Thanks!
Maxx’s launch is amazing. A friend of mine said it’s even better in the front row, so now i have to try that. My personal top 15 will very likely include Sky Striker when that opens but for now probably something like this
Raging Bull
Goliath
Maxx
Superman
American Eagle
Batman
X-Flight
Giant Drop
Demon
Viper
V2
Whizzer
Joker
Condor
Triple Play
I like Maxx Force best in front as well.
I love 6 flags alot. It's amazing
Me too.
Thank you! If you can do Raging Bull and/or Goliath, you can handle those two launch coasters.
I love Maxx force and xflight
Me too.
I know a lot of people don’t like whizzer. It’s my favorite ride there, mostly because I don’t like huge drops
It's fun, but a supporting coaster for me.
When i went to Six Flags i enjoyed most of the rides that where in this video. Nxt time i go back in definitely gonna get on X-Flight, American Eagle and Viper.
X-Flight in particular is great.
So glad to have this as my home park ☺️ I have the same top 3 👍🏼
Nice!
Same
What is that coaster called FireHawk with brand new B&M trains that you mentioned in a comment ?
I think I meant Firebird at Six Flags America.
i worked as a lineman for the power company for 40+ years and had to work on live high voltage and climb 40 to 50 ft poles and had no fears but i can't do coasters but my wife will do some of them. the rides do look awesome and quite a sight to see but just not for me.
To each their own. I'd find the poles scarier.
Is Raging Bull connected in any way to the movie?
I don't think so.
Most 'round here claim it is themed to the Championship Chicago Bulls basketball team, which is laughable, as the colors are not close at all, and MJ flew higher.
I am very new to roller coasters and the only coaster i have been on is the super cyclone. So what should i ride
I'd start with Whizzer and the wood coasters here.
@@CanobieCoaster alright thanks
@@CanobieCoaster do you think I should go on the Superman ride first to deal with my fear of heights
For example, did you come off...
Maxx Force
Goliath
Raging Bull
Batman the Ride
Flash: Vertical Velocity
or
Demon
with a headache?
They're all tolerable for me.
I personally think x flight is a bit slow and somewhat more boring, but i agree with the rest of the list. Personally, I think bull, viper, Goliath, and Maxx force are the best
X-Flight feels slow but it pulls good Gs.
The wiser was my first ride there❤
Nice!
Ik this is a baby ride but my favorite is the demon because it was my first real roller coaster and it’s been closed for a while and I don’t want it to close
Has it operated this year?
@@CanobieCoaster well now it has been I went on it in October
They have an impressive line up.
Sure do!
See in RCDB:
Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America
Blue Tornado at Gardaland
See those two inverted coasters, would you like to ride them again? What do you think?
They have five inversions, but what do you think about the two coasters in terms of pacing, intensity, smoothness, tolerance, and what would you rate them?
Batman is comfortable, Blue Tornado is not.
my number one is still Goliath for that first drop and just being completely disoriented no 2 I always flip flop but I recently got a ride row 3 of American eagle and the airtime hills in the first half of the ride were wild might be number 2 now even though after the helix it’s completely dull
The line is so annoying for re rides now because it’s always empty. 20 years ago it used to be longer and have switchbacks all through where the kids area is, also used to have 2 hour waits and duel though
I tried American Eagle in the front and back, but neither seat wowed me.
the launch of maxx force is amazing, i just absolutely hate that you cannot raise your hands due to the concrete tunnel you immediately pass thru, def knocks it down the list for me
I think the hands-up restriction is due to the launch force throwing them back.
My favorite ride was the whizzer, I remember the last time I ever went to 6 flags great america I rode it on end for 6 goes.
Nice!
Does anyone know the price for a day pass????
They run a lot of deals, so it fluctuates.
Hopefully you can get back for Maxx Force at some point.
@@CanobieCoaster I have plans to go there next year while also going scuba diving in Lake Michigan.
I do have one more question. If you hadn't included Tsunami Surge in this ranking, what would've been your 15th favorite ride?
what about top thrill dragster at cedar point 🤔
It has a great launch, but Maxx Force's is stronger.
Do you like or love the name "Goliath"?
What do you think about Goliath at Six Flags Great America, Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Goliath at La Ronde?
It's a good name, just overused.
Omg viper is so fun! Just a warning though if ur not a fan of wooden roller coasters I wouldn’t go on it bc it’s really shaky!
It wasn't too rough for me.
@@CanobieCoaster The one in Illinois is
OMG FINALLY I SEE THE LOG RIDE IN ONE
Yes
Bruh american eagle being last is one of the worst things to say sure it's not the best in the park but it's not worse then sprocket rocket and little dipper I'm sorry but that makes me a little angry.
They have more than 15 rides. I cut out some of the smaller ones.
Viper doesn’t have floater. Go to row 3 and it’s insane ejector, most underrated ride in the park. It literally feels like your going to fly out
Didn't get that experience when I rode it in 2021.
@@CanobieCoaster It’s literally the only good seat and it changed it from being the worst to my best ride there. It’s better than any RMC airtime I’ve ever experienced.
I actually disagree with you saying Goliath is the worst RMC, The joker at discovery kingdom is a bit worse, I do not like the elements as much as Goliath, plus the Zero G stall is unlike any other RMC at the six flags parks.
I really like Joker in the back for the power of the drops and hangtime.
@@CanobieCoaster Fair point.
top 15 rides
15) joker
14) Justice league
13) Loggers run
12) Lobster
11) whizzer
10) x flight
9) demon
8) SUF
7) v2
6) BTR
5) American Eagle
4) Maxx force
3) Viper
2) Goliath
1)Raging Bull
Nice! I missed Lobster in my visits.
sitting in the last row of the goliath and the raging bull is the craziest thing, feels so much different compared to even 1 row up
True
Wow!
Thanks!
How do you rank the Justice league higher than V2 and Whizzer 😭
I like dark rides.
American Eagle would be much higher on my list. I grew up with this coaster. Worse case it would be in my Top 7. Goliath is my top ride in the park.
I've never been blown away by American Eagle.
The night rides are truly incredible
V2 is my least favorite in the park and even ranks below some of my kid coaster credits, i got non stop head banging and it was so loud I got an instant headache
Wow! I've never had that issue.
A) Negative, most enthusiasts disliked them because of the rough rides
B) Ok, most enthusiasts found them to be fine rides
C) Lackluster, most enthusiasts found them to be barely lateral based rides, often giving a 4
D) Acclaimed, most enthusiasts praised them because of the forceful rides
D
Are u ranking then scariest to least scariest or most fun to leasy
Least to most fun.
Oh ok thanks
best rides are raging bull superman and batman
Those are fun, but I prefer Maxx Force and Goliath.
I was asking you about what do you think about:
Goliath at Six Flags Great America
Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Goliath at La Ronde
All fun rides.
From what I rode this is my Six Flags Great America list:
1. Maxx Force
2. Goliath
3. Viper
4. Raging Bull
5. Batman
6. X Flight
7. Vertical Velocity
8. Superman
9. Demon
10. American Eagle
11. Whizzer
12. Little Dipper
13. Sprocket Rocket
I thought all of them were great rides but it's just how I rank it
Same top 2.
@@CanobieCoaster yupp lol. I'm an acceleration person lol
Absolutely criminal that Raging Bull is #3. It’s a flawless hyper. Watched two of your ranking videos and thought you and I were similar. I see that we aren’t now.
Raging Bull is great. I just prefer Maxx Force and Goliath.
Lookin forward to a CGA ranking
That one will probably wait until a return visit.
Demon might ve getting removed, ive been here 4 times this summer and it hasnt run any of those times, plus last time there was a wrecking ball and crane right next to it
It was down for me too.
I was on it today
The reason it was down is because they were putting in a new lift motor. The ride is running smoothly and great now
@@g-pa2023 oh great to hear
Would you like to go to Six Flags Great America again? What do you think?
Yes, it's a great park.
What do you mean when you say you "gray out"?
The positive Gs are so intense that you start to lose your vision.
No hate but having Viper at 6 is crazy. The viper will never fail to give headaches and is not thrilling. It is so old. the only upside to it is that it has a very short line
I didn't find it rough.
Is the Goliath scary on the big loop?
No, the inversions are fun.
Oh ok
We have a choice and a decision to make..... Six Flags Gurnee or Hersheypark?. Which should We choose? Have not been to either place. From Indiana so Kings Island , Holiday world, Kentucky kingdom, cedar point have been to all multiple times.
If your visit is this year, probably Six Flags Great America. I prefer Hershey, but I'd wait since Skyrush is closed.
@@CanobieCoaster good call. Didn't know Skyrush was down. Thank you
I do remember hearing the cable snapped didn't know it would be out of commission all season
Hersheypark hasn't said how long it will take. It could open next weekend or it could be down until 2022. And last I heard, it wasn't a cable snap but it was something related to the lift/lift mechanism.
What do you mean by “grey out”?
The positive Gs are so strong and/or sustained that I start to lose my vision.
Did you get to ride shockwave? If yes where would it rank
I rode it many times. I would put it behind Superman slightly, but ahead of rides like V2, Joke, and Whizzer.
I didn't. If it's similar to Viper at Magic Mountain, I would've put it in the top 10.
Headbanger. Always was a walkon for that reason. The parking lot theming made it look incredibly more dangerous than Demon.
I loved the Shockwave for the multiple loops and the first drop. It used to be the first ride I would literally run to (when I was a kid) 😂😂 I no longer run to rides but walk quickly 😃.
