This music takes me back to those nostalgic days when VoK radio was my go-to for the best twist tunes. Daudi Kabaka’s songs have a timeless charm that brings back so many wonderful memories. Thank you for the unforgettable tunes!
I still wonder why Congo music took over hearts of Kenyans and Ugandan's while their music were far better than Congo music. Only expiation is loving foreign goods than local! Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania had best music in Africa. East African's please love what is yours. I am American but love your old and new music all the same 😊.
Just spectacular! No comparison. Mzee Kabaka songs were outside from this world. When depressed l just listen to his songs and get better. And l am not even Kenyan but American (USA)!
Reconnecting with my grand dad i miss him so much as i dint have enough time to bond with the gentleman, early 2000 mzee used to take beer till late after he was done with his daily duties, He used to line all his grandchildren for a dance competition every weekend mostly on Saturday and Sunday who ever comes top willl be eating the top of the bread (crust) for a week untill the next weekend Funny enough no one could retain the championships it used to go round his grandchildren,i think he was so wise so that everyone can have a piece of the bread. Oh i wont forget he also kept some bees so bread was smeared with honey 🍯 Oh how i miss the gentleman im shedding tears wish he could stay longer as grow i wished to stay with him in my home one day,its unfortunate he passed on too early. Memories memories
Have gone through all comments they are all smart and interesting but this of your made me to have a deep flashback of my childhood indeed grandpa's use to have a common way of entertainment and enjoying the grandchildren ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh My God! I am South Sudanese who grew up in Kenya, went to best schools there then, but did my university in Dar es Salaam. Daudi was my best musician. When the Luhya Leopards and Gor Mahia or Luo Union prepared to play in City Stadium, they blasted Pole Musa, Angelike, etc on their mic. Now listening to hia songs from afar in USA is very nostalgic!
It was rare to listen to radio then, but the occasional voice of Kabaka usually got me glued to it. In December, it was the gramophone of the late Christopher Kisabuli that got us children beaten for neglecting our duties just to listen to our favourite twisty tracks. Nostalgia!
