I complained about getting up 5 to 6 times to go to the bathroom during the night, my doctor had no idea what it could be. A couple of years later due to a heart issue, was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I’m so glad that I now know.

That's because there is no cure! If you have it found by sleep testing, there is a remedy called cpap and or dental appliance! Some insurances want tissue lasered out including uvulectomy! Trust me this rarely works, and when you drink at the table liquids squirt out of your nose! (Venturi effect) The scar tissue will sag and cause the same problem again...you will learn to tolerate the cpap!!! If apnea is not treated you can die young! Less oxygen to brain at night causes stupor during the day and severe memory loss! God bless you on your journey! If you have it and it gets too bad you will fall asleep while driving one day! The actual statistics are horrific and real! Get checked...skinny people have it too, but overweight people have it worse! I studied this in m-college! The new tracking watches can detect this too! Statistics are being gleaned! Sp02 (oxygen)

Most of the time its easy to cure, SILENT REFLUX is the biggest reason for sleep apnea. Im changing my diet and its helping a lot. Use basic nutrition/foods and do more research on it. try to sleep on your left side bcuz the acid wont be able to go up to your throat and swell your tongue and throat. Also prevent and treat the sickness not just the symptoms. Try to use ionized water for starters. You can also use healing earth, its disgustung and hard to drink but it helps really fast

EPAP exercises the thoracic region. What is not known is how long the positive affect of firming up the airway lasts after the patient stops using a didgeridoo or Bongo RX type device.

No discussion here of “central sleep apnea” (CSA). CSA is rarer, and nearly always left out of apnea discussions. CPAP and the devices mentioned in this video can kill someone with CSA! I have severe CSA and need a special ASV ventilator, which looks like a CPAP or BIPAP machine, but is not the same. Complex sleep apnea, and central sleep apnea need to be recognized and discussed.

It's very expensive, and you explained the why, but not the cure. They need to need a real cure, not a buniness racket.

For years i would wake up during the night cos i felt like didn't breath or my tongue and throat would be extremely dry until i decided to record myself, what i heard was horrifying. I'm even too scared to be in a relationship cos the last person i dated used to hate sleeping next to me and i didn't know why since he never bothered to tell me, he would just be grumpy every time.

I had no idea I had it and in a routine examination when I was in hospital to get my diabetes right before a heart operation. My internist /physician got a company in to do a sleep labor test with me and he found out I had bad sleep apnea! So I was put on a CPAB machine, I used it for a while but found that it dried out my mouth so that my tongue would stick to the top of my mouth! Awful. I have lost some weight which helps and while I am not using it now I will start again as soon as it is unpacked after a move. By the way, the hospital treatment I mentioned was in South Africa. I am not sure if it would be done in other places. It was just my physician that knew the correlation with diabetes and heart disease and sleep apnea. The CPAB helps bring my blood sugar down too into a more normal range.

I have Complex mixed sleep apnea. I use an ASV machine. I am glad I have a pulmonologist. I was 100 pounds lighter when I was diagnosed 10 years ago. My central apneas would have never been diagnosed in a home sleep study.

I just saw a 2 yr old video of Demaris Drewry PhD, saying EFT tapping cures Central Sleep Apnea! She also says it is caused by trauma! That fits for me... So I'm ever hopeful! ☮️

I believe mine wouldn't have been diagnosed with a home sleep study either. I wasn't overweight so I had to push really hard to get a doctor to send me to the sleep clinic. That was in 1999.
