The monks in this time can freely fly and levitate themselves because they don't have earthly attachments. When the Monks discovered the Flying Bisons, they developed the Air Bending, and change their tattoo into an Arrow. This is why few Airbenders have the skill to levitate because they have an earthly attachments via the tradition of Monks bonding and adopting Sky Bisons.
When he mentioned momo being the last left for winged lemurs I instantly remembered the fact that Sokka would visit his grave and give him the fruit that momo offered him that lit up their friendship 😭
So, Momo is the literal LAST winged lemur? I know they were replaced by the ring tails, but, They will never be the same. Imma just wait until there's a new comic and there are more winged lemurs.

It's been proven possible for two separate species to procreate as long as they're similar enough in genus as well as species through common ancestry even without human intervention to cause such hybrids to be born . Wolves and dogs do it all the time (I should know, my family once had a wolf-dog that was a hybrid of a wolf and a collie breed that kept attacking our guinea pigs). So why can't the same rules apply in avatar to explain where the ring-tailed Lemurs been before they were first discovered?

Is it possible that there were still a few other than momo or he could possibly just not have been able to tell the difference between a ring tail winged lemur and a winged lemur

Make a video in the theory of omashu The story goes that oma and shu were lovers and the Male died in war and shu was so mad she unleashed a strong earthbending she split the mountains creating omashu Maybe the girl was an avatar but at the time avatar wasn't really well known which is why her being the avatar wasn't really that important but the fact that she made omashu is and the story lives on. So the theory is omashu was founded by the avatar just like kioshy island

I think Ik how another series could arise from terrible LOK, maybe at the end of Koras life she regained the past avatar lives back somehow and someway. Like how Aang lost the avatar state and regained it. But my best one is to make LOK non-cannon. Cause it doesn’t make sense that they go from 15-1700s to 1920s so fast. Also, since metal bending in LOK is like grappling hooks maybe guns can be made.
