Per their own benchmarks, this is only when both chips are clocked at 2.5GHz. Still impressive, but the i3-10100 (literally the bottom i3) goes up to 4.3GHz. In SPECCPU, it matches an i5-14600k at 2.5GHz. Both SPEC CPU and UnixBench vectorize very well, so I am guessing this thing has some crazy wide integer vector extensions, and it's not hitting the branch predictor and such.
Comparable to Intel's 10th generation of which intel chip, i3, i5 & i7 ? If it's just i3 then Loongson still need to buck up at least to the level of i7 10th generation.
Maybe its not as fast as Intel and AMD. There is nobody in the whole world that can come even close to design from nothing to where they are in the short time they did this. And no Apple M is not the same as that is designed with paid building blocks not from scratch.
Another great thing about the loongson architecture is that its ISA is forked from MIPS, so any program written for MIPS will work on loongson

totally wrong, this Loongson CPU has nothing to do with Intel/AMD, because it uses a completely different instruction-set than X86
