I agree with you 100% I do the same thing we are a family of 6 and we pack our own food etc because of that reason and it honestly it great we save money and still have a amazing time ❤
We just got back from the one in Massachusetts's. It was fantastic. We stayed for one night and think that was the perfect amount of time. We arrived on Friday at 1:30 and to are surprise the room was ready when we showed up! Saturday we left around 4PM. Combined we spent 9 hours in the water! We can't wait to go back!
@@DavidSteininger Thank you ☺️ 😊 🙏, I absolutely 💯 👍 will and I might go to the one in Sandusky, OH to jump into the water 💧 💦 park and see 👀 the walk around characters who are Wiley 🐺, Oliver 🦝, and Brinley 🐻. Also, have a very merry Christmas 🎄 🎁 and a Happy 😆 😊 😃 New Year 🎉🥳🎊🧧.
Ok so YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE AMAZING! THANK YOU, WIFEY! MAMA KNOWS BEST. Thank you for the easy to follow tips and examples. This helps a billion. We are also a family of 5. So super helpful! Thanks a million!😊
This is so helpful! Thank you!! We are giving my son new swim clothes and (now) wolf ears for Christmas with a card that says family vacation and all the details for Christmas this year! I am so excited to see his excitement. Thank you for sharing and I’m going to search for your video now to save to show him on Christmas too!
Great Informative video! Thank you so much for sharing! My family and I love to go to Great Wolf Lodge! One opened only about 30 minutes from our house and I've been able to get some really good deals on booking. As low as $48 for a Grizly Bear Suit that included wristbands for 6! Best Bday sleepover a kid could have. You can stack multiple deals. I have become addicted to finding the good deals now. If anyone has any question about the Perryville, MD Lodge feel free to reach out to me as I have appointed myself a non official expert on the place!
This was a spot on review and super helpful, we definitely had a better time at Great Wolf because of the advice here. I would add that parking is a challenge and if the weather is even slightly inclement .... dropping off the fam at the loading zone and hiking to catch are easily eliminated by staying parked and diving into the cooler we brought or ordering delivery ....still cheaper than the buffet. Appologies on earlier post My bad ....a comment dropped here intended for a student loan video in my watch later playlist....talk about a nonsequiter.
I'm so glad this video helped you get the most out of your vacation! Good tip on the parking/drop-off. And thanks for taking the time to explain about the other comment. Definitely seemed out of place... Because it was! 🙂
He is correct about groupon. On the website great wolf had an eclipse sale. I ended up getting a 2 bedroom grizzly suite for 329. Those suite normally run about 1000.
Thank you so much for your tips. It was nice to see you thank your wife for the pre-packing. Sometimes spouses take that for granted! I have a question about Groupon. It says it includes all fees. What does that mean? Are those taxes? Resort fees? The Groupon rate and the Great Wolf site’s nightly rates are the same, so I’m just curious. I think a lot of moms in my community borrow each other’s wands. Thank you!
Thanks for the info. Just looked at the Georgia Resort on Groupon and it’s only $177. I’m confused on if you have to stay there to enter the water park.
I've gone to great wolf lodge for 2 years for my birthday on January 5th we live in Arizona and we go to the Scottsdale one the whole vist cost about 3,000 dollars and I'm planning to give there next year! I enjoyed it and i really want to go there next and this helped so much! I will definitely will be using Groupon soon!
Just got back from there and had a great time. My only added suggestion would be don't use the lockers. I saw hundreds of roaches coming out from underneath the lockers
I would say don't use them because they completely malfunctioned 2 days in a row at the Grapevine location. The lights on them turn red when rented; we came back to the lockers to get our towels and go get a pizza and they were all green. Nobody could get into their lockers. They had to manually open mine and then offered a free larger locker; turns out that the "free" locker was already rented to a man who then also couldn't get into his locker. We kept the "unrented" locker and had to keep asking them to unlock it. I thought they fixed the issue but then the same thing happened the next day. This time, they asked us to describe what was in the lockers, which I couldn't recall because we ended up having to rent two lockers since we couldn't fit everything into the first one. It told the girl: one has a bag and the other has everything that wouldn't fit into the first locker. She almost wouldn't let me get into my own locker. Dealing with a new locker "specialist" every time we had to enter our locker easily ate up over an hour that second day, because I (and everyone else) kept having to explain ourselves over and over. Hot mess.
When i went to wolf lodge at least 2-3 times i just went straight to magiquest after checking into my room with friends and family. 😂 i’ve beat magiquest and shadow quest games. Now all i need is compass quest and i’ll be done.
Very good and informative video. We just left today from great wolf lodge. I do regret eating at their restaurants. Not worth the money. Decent food but not worth it.
You can search deals on Groupon by location/region. I'm not sure they would have Disney discounts. It's usually smaller business you'll find on there using Groupon to boost awareness.
Did you had to pay for wrist bands? Each person or that was included when you paid online? Also when you check in I heard it was $100 fee, besides when you already pay online for your reservation
The wristbands were included when we purchased our stay through Groupon and there were no additional fees when we checked in (although I believe you can opt to have funds added to your wristband for food and shopping in the resort). But definitely double check the terms of sale where and when you book!
You are right I once placed my wolf lodge reservation thru groupon and they didnt let me use the pool facilities unless I pay 100 fee for each wristband :(
@@amzrkwczthis is exactly the info I was looking for because I have played with the actual GWL website and the cost of the room automatically covers the first 4 people, but it goes up about $100 per person after the first 4. Groupon does not address this. If Groupon does not include park passes, I would actually pay more after adding on the park passes. I’m always leery when the information is not clearly given about an important detail!!!
Yes! At least it did when I purchased the deal. Definitely worth checking the fine print. (And there are no parking fees... At least not at the Pocono location).
Ours in grand mound washington definitely charges for parking. If we didn't get a killer homeschool deal, we wouldn't even consider the outrageous price for this place. Definitely not worth full price plus the ridiculous prices for every single thing inside. I'd rather go on a cruise.
Lockers are priced differently based on size. I think they start at $12 or $15 for the day. I'm not sure about Dunkin. I remember seeing a sign that said they don't accept the rewards program, so I don't know if that means they won't accept gift cards either. A lot of the in-resort purchases are tied to your room/account and you can pay with your wristband.

Nice! Glad you had a great trip!
Check with your respective GWL on the time you can use the water park. At Colorado Springs you can go as soon as it opens on your day of check in!
Good tip!
Thank you for sharing this. My husband and I are taking our children this weekend!
Awesome! Have fun!
Appreciate 👍😄🙂 all of the great 😌 😊 👍 advice and will definitely 💯 follow all of your steps you taught me.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your GWL trip 🙂

When did you go? We are planning to go before Christmas. As a birthday/christmas gift to my son
We've gone a couple times now. Both times in early February when there's really nothing else going on and we NEED to get out of the house 🙂

it is reasonable to have a few roaches here and there because it is a moist and warm environment but hundreds of roaches? gwl should def do better

Thanks! I hope you had a great stay. The on-site dining seems really convenient, but you definitely have to pay a premium.
I showed my kid a GWL video to get him to go to school 😂
May I ask what room type you chose? I see yours has a fireplace.
It was a Kid Cabin Suite.
@@DavidSteininger thank you for responding! Blessings!
Nice tips! I wonder if the food tastes decent....
Thanks! The food LOOKED good enough, but we're too frugal to actually buy it 😂
Dang! We just booked one of the kid themed rooms directly through the website for $149/night.
That's not a bad price! Sometimes you can snag better deals directly from GWL than what you'd find on Groupon.
Yes I’m wondering how I faired. I booked a 3 night family suite for $980
Can you use Groupon in another area? Like Disney.. Legoland ect
You can search deals on Groupon by location/region. I'm not sure they would have Disney discounts. It's usually smaller business you'll find on there using Groupon to boost awareness.
Recorded horizontally:)

How many nights did you stay?
Just one.
We just went 3 nights 4 days 600
Do you by chance remember how much the lockers were and if the dunkin donuts takes giftcards

i have to pinch pennies i can't rebook if we go it is for training
From what I understand, the place is cash less. Was told everything goes on the card you used to check in, info is on the wristbands...
That's correct. The wristbands are also used as your room key.
