Great question! There is a booth that you will run into at the entrance to the activities area. It’s where you’ll get your mini golf balls & clubs, and where you sign up for mini bowling. They can accept payment for your activities. Have fun! 👍
We are taking our 3,4 and 6 year old on their first vacation together this week to Great Wolf in Williamsburg and they are unbelievably excited. I’ve gone through a few other vlogs, but this one was the best and most informative so far!
@@stevenclark8758 I’m thrilled it was so helpful! Thank you for the feedback!!! 🙌 We’re going back again later this fall, and we’ll be updating the guide. 👍
I’m thrilled you think so! Thanks so much for the kind words! ❤️ I’m just glad we can help other parents navigate through some complicated trip planning. 😊
That’s wonderful!!! We love the Lodge. It’s our very favorite staycation! And don’t get me wrong - we really enjoy everything the Paw Pass has to offer! But if that’s what my kids wanted, I would: * Bring our own candy from the store ($5), * Pay for MagiQuest on its own ($35), and * Pay for the ice cream (probably repeatedly… ha ha ha) ($4). If they REALLY want an arcade experience, I’d buy a time card (if your Lodge offers one) instead of the $5 that comes with the pass; we pointed out the arcade is really overpriced in the video. And if my kids wanted goggles, I’d buy the exact same pair from Amazon for a dollar - probably in a 2-pack. That’s $45, compared to the $60 for the Pass. Which is why we recommended skipping the Paw Pass & buying the pieces individually instead. I hope that breakdown is helpful & makes sense! Thanks so much for watching! :-)
@@RideTheTeacups yeah I could totally see that and agree with that, we much prefer the wolf pass where you can do a lot more with that and we found we actually bought too many passes we bought 4 passes 2 passes and 2 wolf passes and that was actually unnecessary for our family of 5 we definitely could have gotten away with the whole family playing a lot of the things together on just 1 or 2 passes because they let all of us in on the fun most of the time on just the wolf passes we got which included the bowling, ropes course, rock wall, mini golf, and the MagiQuest all those things were a lot of fun and then just sharing the candy cups or bring your own candy like you said for sure altho our kids get so hyped up on candy we rather less candy anyways lol 🤣 but yeah even using your food packages could cover stuff like your ice cream and other treats too so definitely worth either going all in with 1 or 2 wolf passes or pick and choose a few individual things and your totally right about the goggles too! And if you already have wands and go back another time you don't even have to pay much to all do the MagiQuest again!
I’m thrilled it was helpful! There’s a lot of really cool things to do, but like I mentioned in the Do/Don’t, sometimes it’s just math. Take so much for checking it out! 😃 🙏
The rooms were alot different at their 1997-2009 and 2014-2016 locations. they were definitely more themed like a cabin than the newer/renovated rooms. The last location to receive the older theming was the garden grove location.
Excellent review Steve. We have aa Great Wolf Lodge about an hour from our house and we've visited but not actually stayed there. It sure looked like you and your family had a "Great" time!!! Thanks for sharing
Nope! It’s all included. If you’re staying here, you get access to the water park all day everyday, including check-in and check-out. Great question! Thanks so much for watching. 👍
We’ve been preparing for our upcoming trip. Out of all the you-tube videos I’ve watched about the hotel, yours by far is the best! Very informative and fun to watch.! Thank you, I feel much more prepared now. 😊
Thank you so much! That’s the goal. When we were searching, we found lots of gaps in other videos, too. It’s why we created our channel! I hope you have an amazing time! We love the Lodge. 😊 ✨ 🐺
Excellent presentation. The arcade game was set to hook you the games so you would by more. I have never been to The Great Wolf Lodge . I would go after seeing this. 👍
Glad you found it useful! I completely agree about the arcade. I really wish they had included a time-based card (maybe 30 minutes) instead of a credits-based card. Would have really turned around my opinion.
Thanks for your video!! Super helpful! Wanted to clarify so you said if you upgrade one of your wolf passes to unlimited then the entire family gets to do the unlimited also, even the other kids who did not upgrade?
That was exactly how it worked for us on multiple trips with multiple employees! But I’m not sure if that’s how it’s SUPPOSED to work. I would suggest, after checking in, you can ask the folks running activities (instead of the folks at the desk). It’s a great perk! Have so much fun while you’re there! 👍
That depends on how long you’re going to stay and how old your kids are. If you’re there for 1 night, enjoy the free activities (story time, arts & crafts, and the nightly dance party) for sure! Beyond that, enjoy the water park, and you’ve had a great 2 day trip. If you’re there longer and your kids are old enough to do some of these activities, we love the Wolf Pass activities! That’s where you get the ropes course, the rock wall, mirror maze, mini golf, mini bowling, and those kinds of things. And you get to play Magi Quest! If you think you’d like to do that quite a bit (and you’ll realistically stay long enough to do them more than once), we love the unlimited plan for an extra $30. If you’re only staying 1 night, but your kids really want to try the MagiQuest game, I’d suggest paying for it separately for around $35 instead of getting a pass. It’s cheaper and makes more sense for your budget. Same for if they don’t want the extra activities like the ropes course and stuff. Our family’s very favorite activity was the mirror maze! We must have gone through there a dozen times! And a close 2nd was bowling. No one liked panning for gems. It was just boring for us. Have fun while you’re there!!! 😊 Thanks so much for watching! 👍
Never been to the Great Wolf Lodge myself, but looks fun. It’ll be a bit of a trip from where I’m at, but the one in Georgia is the closest. Still trying to figure out if that one is any different, but thanks anyways. Looking forward to checking it out one of these days.
From what I’ve seen, each Lodge is a little different, but the ideas are the same. For example, the MagiQuest elements will be found in different places, but the game is always the same idea. The water slides might be different, but there’s always a water park. The mini golf course might be different, but it’s there. Have so much fun!!! 😊
WOW!!! 👀 They sure add up fast, especially since accessories like clothing costs extra!!! I’ve had good luck finding them on eBay brand new for significantly less than at the actual lodge. (That’s where I found the price for the video, and another just recently sold for $12.) That works really well for our family (we often buy our souvenirs online before most trips), but we also understand that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Either way, our kids LOVE everything else we’ve ever gotten from Build-A-Bear! I hope it reminds your son of the great memories you made! 🐻 ❤️ Thanks so much for watching!
Great question! The rooms come with a mini-fridge. There is a community microwave in the room on your floor with the ice machine and vending machines, but there isn’t a microwave in each room. Thanks for asking! 👍
I'm from the Niagara Falls location - and this just feels like Great Wolf's ownership selling out.. it lacks the heart of the OG locations from 1997-2009 (Niagara Falls opened in 2006).
You should enjoy your time! If that makes you happy, absolutely go for it! ❤️ 👍 If you bring your own bucket of candy and buy your plush online, then buy everything else individually instead of the pup pass, you’ll still get everything while saving 50%. It’s purely math. I definitely don’t want to stop you from getting what you want! 😊 I appreciate the feedback! I’ll try to make my point more clear in the future because of your help! 👍
You’re not wrong, and I agree so much with your comment about the food that I added an entire section to alternatives. 🤣 I wish the dragon’s head still moved when he talks. But it’s still an amazing place to go, and in my opinion it’s also still worth the cost! We’ll be heading back again later this year. I’ll create a new video when we visit, and I’ll mention whether it’s actually still worth the cost based on your comment here. Thanks for your great feedback!
Just so everyone knows, these videos dont make sense. Do what you enjoy. Everyone likes different things. Edit: i am about to go to AZ scottsdale for the 3rd time to go.
Thanks for commenting, Elijah! We definitely want you to do what you enjoy. And before I reply, thank you for the feedback! If this is how you feel, it might be because I didn’t explain myself well in the video. I’ll try to improve that in the future. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts! ❤️ But does it make sense to pay $10 for a cup of candy that you could have easily bought next door at Target for $1? We don’t think so, and we suggested bringing your own instead. Does it make sense to spend $15 on a pair of goggles that you can get at that same Target for $2? Again, we don’t think so, and we provided an alternative if you need them. Does it make sense to spend $80 on a week’s worth of activities for your 1-night stay, when you’re already getting a water park for free? Not really, no. So we want to let new visitors know what to expect, and we’ve done the money-saving math for you along the way. You can decide what’s most important for your family, but these are the tips we’ve learned over our past 5 visits. For example, you may have noticed that we HIGHLY recommended their highest unlimited bundle! But only if you’re staying long enough to use it. And we showed everything, so you can decide what looks most fun for you and your family. (That’s ESPECIALLY important, since they’re selling you the passes before you even see any of the attractions.) I hope you had a wonderful time on your 3rd visit!
@@RideTheTeacups Thanks for being nice, and I apologize for my comment coming off kind of rude. I should've watched more of your video before I decided to say that.
