Just observe all safe shooting practices and do not fire your guns into the air kasi kahit 2 kilometers, puwede maabot ng stray bullets. Pag nasa city ka, only shoot in firing ranges.

It's not even clearly defined how the caliber limit works in RA10591, only that "7.62mm" is the limit for civilians. It doesn't even specify WHICH 7.62mm round would that be, is it 7.62x39, 7.62x51 or 7.62x54? It's unclear and the PNP-FEO just interprets it however they like, so that means the 7.62mm ban also applies to 6.8mm SPC and other non-standard "military" rifle cartridges.

Salamat Patz! As for airguns, there is some paperwork involved but it is much less complicated than a firearm license. I don't own one though, so I don't know exactly how it is, and if applies to exotic non-lethal weapons. Pero pepper spray is 100% legal and no paperwork is needed.

Why are shotguns legal? Like a 12 gauge is a .72 caliber. Does the law differentiate between gauge and caliber or is there an exception for shotguns?
Also can you own something other than 12 gauge?
