"Loadborne" is kinda accurate -there's just too much time wasted waiting for the loading to end. You sort of fear dying (or going back to the Dream World) a lot more in Bloodborne.
Paradox Acres Considering it's a game based on the concept of learning from your mistakes, you can consider it "reflection time" and/or a "time to cool off". Not justifying it of course, but might as well look for the positives while you wait for them to fix it.

This game is easy, all you gotta do is make the blood guys blood on their blood with your blood until they no longer have any blood with which to blood. Then you just blood your blood in the blood room and blood yourself up with blood before you go back into the blood to get more blood with which to blood. And then you win.
+Stinger Johnny Eh, as best as they could have been I suppose. Loading times were only slightly reduced and having item descriptions only breaks the monotony in theory.
it honestly blows my mind that we HAVENT gotten a PC port of this game yet. seriously its been SEVEN FUCKING YEARS everyone has been complaining about this sense day one and their STILL silent about it.
Yes, but only when you're about 10-20 hours in. You've got the angry townsfolk, werewolves, a couple of super werewolves in graveyards and cathedrals, a deserted town with a machine gun and a big monster, another deserted town with a bunch of witches, big spooky snake forest, and then suddenly you're fighting unknowable godlike spiders, hiding from a brain in a nightmare which drives you mad if you look at it, and there's lanky eldritch bastards hanging off the walls. And all the clues are there if you go back and look for them - the lanky eldritch bastards have statues in the cathedrals, for instance - but still. If you didn't expect Lovecraft going in it would be quite a while before you spotted it.
@@Dracinard the item description of madman's knowledge is a pretty big spoiler. Considering it literally read "the great ones". I was already more than familiar with lovecraft, so after hearing that, i knew what I was getting into. Due to that for me, it was a Lovecraft experience from start, considering all of lovecraft's stories start with madness or physical transformation, both being very visible all throughout yharnam
Love seeing Yatzhee's view of the "Souls" games evolve over time. I still remember when he panned Demon's Souls as garbage and gave up after 2 bosses. Now it's his "favorite type of game".
Even funnier now 8 years on. Wonder if in a decade or so he'll have his passion for the genre re-ignited and it becomes his favorite type of game again

Yahtzee: They'll never fix the loading times, because they're jerks! *six hours previous* Sony: We're releasing a patch to fix Bloodborne's loading. Yeah, Yahtzee's time machine is totally on the fritz. I'll avoid mentioning that From Software does have other games, though. The others are about robots, which I guess no one cares about too much. EDIT: Oh, wait... He posts this a week earlier on a different site, doesn't he? Well, his time machine *still* doesn't work, whether or not he recorded it 7 hours ago or 7 days ago.
***** You, uh... Don't really understand the meaning of "time machine", do you? It doesn't matter when he said it. Either way, it was an unexpected bit of Sony-not-being-an-ass, that happened well after he wrote and recorded the clip. Well, From Software not being an ass, more likely, but either way, I am aware that it predates any reasonable way for him to learn about it. You see, Yahtzee talked about his Time Machine this time, leading to the premise of the comment. Congratulations to you, person shorter than this joke.
Nathan Cassidy What insult? I had a chuckle at Yahtzee's crass cynicism not holding up for once. You didn't even read the whole comment, and clearly didn't understand the intent. It's not like I insulted him, or said anything about his mother. Are you here to protect Yahtzee from what the mean people say?
i honestly prefer bloodborne to dark souls, it forces you to take a more active approach in combat and even when you're just exploring you have to pay serious attention to the environment and be able to react within the half a second wind up of the sneakier enemies to be able to avoid attacks, also, the diseased lovecraftian horror theme just works so much better for me than grim medieval fantasy. also, if you replay it a bit get somewhere around 20 insight and look at the odean chapel from the front. that is all.
@@Explorerofshadows Do you have any suggestions please? Because I sure would prefer a non-scam emulator over having to use Sony's fucking PSNow bullshit...
Yhatzee, it's unfair to FROM to say that they only have one game. Yeah, Dark Demon's Blood is all pretty similar, but they have been making games for a long time and have many older fantasy RPG games, which are referenced in Dark Demon's Blood. But don't forget that they also made the Armored Core games, which are badass mecha games.
+zbo900 To be fair, King's Field, their 1995 game for the PS1, is another of the Dark Demon's Blood group, as you put it. It is literally the 1995 incarnation of the From Software game - I had my doubts when I saw the logo on the opening screen, then I played it, and after about five minutes I was like, "Yep, this is another version of the From Software game." XD

After beating DeS again, it seems that everyone forgot those loading times where worse. And console ds2 had stupidly long loading as well. Its almost to be expected. What bb did wrong was not have item descriptions during loading.
Read what he said. He stated "What bb did wrong was not have item descriptions during loading." And I'm simply telling him that they patched the game so now it does have the descriptions. So the problem is resolved. Not that hard to understand
>1.03 update seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimizations. The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play. - Playstation.blog So a patch IS coming to reduce the load time. However how much it actually reduces is the real question though...
***** Much as I enjoy Souls games, I don't enjoy them enough to waste hundreds of dollars on a piece of shit toaster so I can play the newest one. I got other PC games to play in the meantime.
Man, 6 years on and they STILL love that "monster made of lots of bodies smashed together" thing... that's half the enemies in Elden Ring xD The whole "grafting" thing as it's called. Yeah call it what you want FROM, it's still the same old trick. Not that i mind... i'm at almost 130h played on my character already xd
+ForeverLaxx No he knows the difference. Both are very important to the story. Just look up the Umbilical cord item and think about the implications. That didn't spoil anything, right?
+ForeverLaxx The fact that you don't understand why I said menstruation and not ministration is enough proof you don't know Bloodborne well enough. Yeah, they're two completely different things. Menstruation blood and the Pthumerian Queen Yharnam are directly tied to the story and of blood MINISTRATION. There has been countless videos made on this theory, so to say it's "dead and stupid" simply proves you don't know what you're talking about. So before you start trying to be a smart ass, pointing out the obvious (we know dude, menstruation and ministration are two different things) maybe you could actually know about the game in question? Cheers brah.
Yeah the healing items not replenishing is easily the worst part of the game, adds a potential element of grind. Especially when one of the few things Lords of the Fallen offered a good choice where you could sacrifice experience for healing items.
All Hail Glorious Masterracists Yeah yeah yeah, sure. But I can see why it would be frustrating not having replenish able health. Like Yahtzee mentioned in the video a big part of Souls is getting stuck in places and ramming your head against a wall for a while. It's unreasonable to expect a person to NEVER be hit and every hit you take in Souls games takes away a good chunk of your health. Based on what I am seeing from Bloodborne it also has less room for tanking and shielding so its even more possible that you will be losing tons of health. Granted you can get it back by being aggressive and attacking enemies to get it back. So that means you need to be able to heal, but those healing items are a pain to get. Luckily it looks like the enemies you farm the items off of drop them consistently for the most part so you don't have to grind as much as you did in DS2 trying to kill fucking Drake dudes in Shrine of Amana to get Twinkling titanite only to have them despawn so you have to bonfire aesetic the area to get more, making them a fucking PAIN IN THE ASS TO KILL IN NG+ WITH EVEN MORE STUPID POISE DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE ONLY WEARING A ROBE. >.> Sorry some of my salt is showing
Anyone who is dealing with a lack of blood vials: you have extra! Anytime you pick up a blood vial and you have max it goes to your bottomless box in the hunters dream. If you run out and die pick up some from the dream before you leave. The bottomless box (it's not called that in game but we all know it is a bottomless box) is in the house and is next to the upgrade station
1. You can fast travel in the Hunter's Dream through the 4 grave stones to the right to any lantern you have activated. 2. You have to enter the Hunter's Dream to restock your Blood and Bullets (They automatically move from your stash to your inventory). 3. Unlike Dark Souls, Blood Vials are not free, any over 20 you pick up are added to your stash though. You can also buy them if you don't want to farm for them. I find this to be a good thing actually, no longer can you just kill a weak boss and get access to 20 healing items that instantly get restocked, now players actually have to learn to dodge. Other than that, love the review, I always get a laugh out of it.
+Jacob Byus *note, this review was published at least 9 months ago so it's safe to assume that he played the game during the period in which the loading times were horrifyingly long. Even I can remember that and I didn't even have a playstation 4 back then...*
Paladin Leeroy I saw them in Angry Joe's gameplay video. They were also boring (the loading screens). They used to show only the game title. Now at least they show some item descriptions while you wait.
CaitSeith I even wondered why they didn't show item descriptions like they did in Dark Souls. Bloodborne seems a bit weird because they didn't implement things that they improved on with Dark Souls 2.
From Software has made other kinds of games such as mech games like Armored Core and Metal Wolf Chaos (the latter I still have not forgiven them for never releasing here in the US), it's just recently they hit it big with the Souls games so they have been milking that golden cow for all its blood gems :P
capthavic And Tenchu though the King's Field games are really where the Souls ones come from. Hoping for more of pretty much all the other games still lol.
capthavic I miss badass robot/mech 'slposion mashups games (Mech Warrior/Amoured Core). hopefully they make a comeback like NEStalgia games (Shovel Knight), space sims (Elite Dangerous/ FTL), Old-School FPS' (Wolfenstein/Shadow Warrior/Brutal Doom) and MetroidVania games (Ori and the Blind Forest).
So one complaint I've seen a couple times now is the bit about the chore of grinding low level areas and enemies for Health Potions. I can only imagine how tedious that would be. So here's a tip for anyone with that issue. DON'T. DO. THAT. They sell the things at your hub. And the tough area you need the potions for will doubtlessly be dropping more "currency" then the early areas, nevermind that as you go on they drop increasingly large amounts of Blood Echoes while the price of a health potion remains static. So just kill some dudes, bonus effect of the practice in an area you apparently have been wasting Blood Viles in, then go buy some. Grinding enemies for critical consumable items with lowish drop rates? No. Just no. It's slower, it's tedious, it's inefficient and you won't enjoy yourself.
You, Sir, are wrong. The prices of items in the shop are NOT static. As you progress through the game/die, the in-game time moves forward into the night. The deeper into the night the game goes, the more expensive do items become. Given the fact that what Yahtzee is referring to is the situations, where you are trying to beat a boss for about a week (i.e. me and Watchdog of Old Lords) and you suddenly find your bottomless box empty with no money in the bank. If that's the case me running through the entirety of Yharnam just waving my blades of mercy to mobs and picking up the pots they drop would be faster than actually grinding blood echoes in higher level areas and risking dying on a fluke and increasing the cost of the pots altogether.
From Software also makes the Armored Core series. Please somebody check it out it's like an accurate representation of mecha when it comes to stat management. Metacritic has it at a 65 I believe (armored core 4 answer) it deserves a little more then that for how rewarding and challenging it is at least.
For those who are curious, the photographer is Thomas Ruff, who is well known for photographing expressionless portraits. No idea what the name of the guy in the picture actually is, however. image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/gallery/2002/02/01/ruff_head.jpg
Playing BB for the first time this week, it's my first Souls game (though not my first Metroidvania style game) pretty much agree completely, especially the notion of having to go back and farm weaker enemies like some other games. It might not be so bad if they'd randomised enemy placement so each time you go through it's still a challenge and not a chore, apart from that this frustratingly hard game has won me over.... so far.
Love how there's like only 2 or 3 compliments in a review filled with comments ranging from snarky to outright bile-filled bitterness, so it only made it to #4 on the best of the year list 😂
・ヘリオディン That's fine and all but SSDs will always be a viable upgrade for any hardware. If you have an SSD in your PS4 the load times will be cut almost in half, and that's incredibly significant considering the amount of times you will be expected to go through them. You are literally wasting your life the longer you have to sit through loading screens which is why I never want to go back to hard drives.
I've seen the benchmarks, and my own experience is enough to tell me that what I said is true, and I said almost in half, not exactly. So where in your benchmarks are the times for Bloodborne? I'll provide one for you instead: www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-bloodborne-performance-analysis You say they don't have a great impact, so while here it may not be as "half" as you would expect, those three to twelve seconds you save per loading screen make a huge difference even if they aren't being used to their full potential because the numbers start to add up very quickly the longer you play. In any case as I've said before, getting an SSD can only be considered a positive and they are definitely worth it for any hardware that supports it.
2:27 I felt this way traversing the Thieves Guild in Thief Gold, a labyrinth of which seemed never-ending at one point. At least Bloodborne's areas were made easier by their openness, Thief's were usually just tightly-knit corridors and rooms.
Bloodborne is a little backstep from DS in its variety of weapons, items, enemies, environment etc. Yet what it truly shines is its effort and complexity within its story and lore. It has presented a very spectacular world completely different from any other games can offer and is still very fresh and intriguing. That is something even great modern game studioes can rarely do.
Lee Ragdoll it has better weapon and enemy and boss variety tho the areas are also better put together and the move sets for weapons are just fucking badass and that's why bloodbourne is better then dark souls
Those backsteps you mentioned don´t really bother me at all. I´d rather take a lot more quality over a little more quantity, because that´s what BB gave to me. Weapons are all cool af and completely viable. Enemy design is creepy and beautiful at the same time. Game is oozing with atmosphere and all around just brilliant.
This game has some fucking great boss fight. Ludwig the Accursed/Ludwig the Holy Blade is one of the best boss fight I've ever seen, just after Undyne the Undying.
It loads fast on PS5 - so for those who were turned away by the loading times (which have been fixed a bit already), then yay, better hardware to the rescue (if you can get one).
You know, I say a comment a while back about how Yahtzee was the Shakespeare of our generation. And I wholeheartedly agree, his masterful mix of crude jokes and clever word play pretty much puts him squarely in the ballpark.
I've come to not really care about whether or not you like the game, but what makes my day 100% better is how you go about describing these games and how off the wall some of your descriptions are
I can only think of one boss in this game which is an amalgamation of body parts- The One Reborn. Not bad out of about 30, I mean the crows and dogs get a little surreal at the end but- All in all it seems like a bit of a stretch.
malanare He's referring to the previous games, there's an amalgam boss in pretty much every souls game i.e. Gravelord Nito, The rotten, Leechmonger etc
AJ Nisich A timed exclusive, considering that some dedicated fans found some information for a PC port. As for sources: www.ign.com/articles/2015/03/24/amazon-france-lists-bloodborne-for-pc www.kdramastars.com/articles/80705/20150406/bloodborne-pc-release.htm But I agree that it is about time the PS4 (heck any console) got a game worth playing. The main problem that I have with it is that rather than just make good games, the companies resort to tactics that make them look pathetic and desperate because they know they are offering a product that is just flat out sucks in comparison to their competitors.
It took me entirely too long in this game to find out that you can just buy blood vials with blood echoes at the home base area. And stuff you put into storage fills up your inventory space when you respawn. So you can just buy like 100 vials and never run out.
Just as a status update, it is now eight years after this game released, it is still trapped in the Wizard Sony's plastic prison, and anyone who wants to experience the game without forking over four hundred dollars to the wizard are, frankly, so desperate as to get on the verge of doing embarrassing things. It's like the negaverse counterpart to Capcom screwing over the Gamecube with RE4, and it makes you realize that that was, in fact, indeed the version without the mustache. At least the Gamecube had other reasons to buy it, was relatively cheap, and basically indestructible.
Andrew Watson And they were a different time when things were different. Who'da thunk?! Nowadays PCs and consoles have interchangeable parts and From has more money than God thanks to the ginormous and obsessive Cult of Souls fanbase meaning they can p.much give that old stereo company a fond farewell.
Andrew Watson Yeah, seriously they've been doing the same game 10+ times in a row for 25 years (armored core being the exception), polishing it like a bowling ball buffer, and aged like fine wine. Yahtzee, do your research! Bah humbug!
Now to watch the comment section devolve as baby-men bash their hands into stumps creating comment wars on how Bloodborne is shit (because they don't have it) or, alternatively how exclusives are shit. ...Even though it takes a lot of money to mass release a game on multiple platforms and seeing as though Dark Souls 2 was being developed around the same time, they spent all their money on that instead of Bloodborne, hence being only for PS4. Self explanatory really but carry on.
Tower Knight If they've already made the game, I can only imagine that they'd make more money by porting it over to other consoles. It's like filming a fantastic movie and then deciding you don't have the funds for the discs they get copied to.
Atler the Dark Depends who funded it. If it was say; EA (just an example) then yeah it would be multiplatform but since it's Sony, they've got their choker tight around FromSofts neck in order to sell it's console. And it's working.
"Like it or not, consoles are the real drive behind technical innovation in games. With the exception of a handful of titles like Star Citizen, few PC exclusives are in the making that really push the visual front on high end PCs, simply because the market's not large enough. AAA developers are incentivized to implement higher end rendering techniques only when consoles are capable of handling them. It's simple economics" -Gamingbolt
+Loyal-TF-Fan _ Improved, certainly not fixed, nowhere NEAR that. It's still excrutiatingly long, and endlessly obnoxious, even though it's more tolerable. Guess that's all they could squeeze out of the PS4.
Aedd Gynvael Oh no, if you want to complain about loading times then go on about AC: Syndicate. The worst part of it is that their is a lot of loading screens and they stick you in an area to run in, personally that just drives me insane.
SuperArppis It's not a subjective preference, 30 seconds (in some situations) is still painfully bad. Hell, even chalice dungeons load slowly when you warp to them, which is completely stupid, as any one of them is way smaller than the game's world. Warping to the Hunter's Dream is way less time-consuming, but because they refuse to give you lantern teleporting and vial/bullet restocking on successful co-op or PvP, you still have to waste time traveling there and it still feels too long warping to and from. I guess that I might be less annoyed by it if I had played all the previous games on console, but the only one I did was DeS, and I don't remember it sticking to me that it loads too long. (I think it was faster than BB loads now) DkS1 and 2 on PC load for about ~3-5 seconds from when you select your character, or after you travel/respawn at a bonfire. That's what I'm used to.
its funny that if you go back to yahtzees review of Demon's Souls he disliked the challenge and described it as banging you head on a wall. now here he actually likes banging his head on a wall.
So you liked it? Although I don't own a PS4, I've been playing quite a bit of Bloodborne with my mate, and I've got to say its pretty darn good so far. I thought I wouldn't like the faster paced fighting, but its done really well. I was playing Dark Souls 1 the other day, and found my self trying to get health back by attacking enemies, which lead to many bloodstains being lost in Oolacile. Bloodborne shows up Dark Souls 2's world design imo. And reminds us why Miyazaki is the king of level design. The return of the interconnected areas and detailed "zones" is fantastic. And I'm beginning to think that Miyazaki has been reading up on some H.P.Lovecraft during development, which can only be a good thing. My only real issues so far are the loading screens, and the lack of options in weapons, magic, and armor. The lack of build variety might hurt replay-ability, but the world seems engrossing enough to bring you back for more. It actually feels like more of a character action game similar to something like Bayonetta, due to the smoother controls and faster paced action. However, it still retains the depth and contextual storytelling of Dark Souls 1. Now, if only I had a PS4.
"How man times FromSoftware are you gonna fall back on monster made of multiple bodies mashed together?" There are two enemies that fit this description in the entire game, and a whopping one boss.
+Robert Bringardner I believe that he was referencing across all of the From Software games. For example, in DkS1 we had Gravelord Nito and DkS2 had The Rotten, while Bloodborne has The One Reborn and some other thing I can't remember.
Ikr, BB is one of my favorite games of all time. The tone and atmosphere, the gameplay, the music, the enemy design. It just all works so incredibly well together. I honestly think BB has some of the creepiest and most brilliant monster and enemy designs of all time, representing lovecraftian and body horrors like nothing else, while also keeping that stylish victorian theme mixed with psychology. This Zero Punctuation felt really underwhelming imo as none of these aspects was even remotely mentioned. Oh well.
@@MrSanghelios totally agree. Bloodborne has some of the best enemy design I've ever seen. Even the basic townsfolk enemies are more interesting than many other games enemies
***** It may have been my power of clairvoyance. Or I when to the Escapist's Web site, watched the next Zero punctuation and, when the credits were rolling, saw a part that said something along the lines of "Fine, Dark Souls 3 next week."
Yatzeeh, you forget From's bread and butter was armored core before this. Speaking of which... anyone know if there's another AC coming out anytime soon?
Mateus da Rosa Tosta If Bloodborne and Scholar of the First Sin is any indication, From is focusing on the Souls game for the moment. Which is a shame, because I've been really getting into the AC games lately (Played 5 and Verdict Day, planning on getting 4 and 4A). That being said, I'd completely lose my shit if an AC 6 was announced or teased in the next year or so......
Funny thing about the warping mechanic is that if you were allowed to warp between any two laterns without having to make a stop at the Hunter's Dream first, the lore would get a bit bent out of shape... Not massively so, sure, but still...

Bloodborne is also based on HP Lovecraft. It goes from werewolves to Lovecraft in 7.8 seconds.
Werewolves are also verrryyy lovecraft. Like pikemens model
Yahtzee: They'll never fix the loading times, because they're jerks!
*six hours previous*
Sony: We're releasing a patch to fix Bloodborne's loading.

+ForeverLaxx You're an idiot...
+ForeverLaxx No he knows the difference. Both are very important to the story. Just look up the Umbilical cord item and think about the implications. That didn't spoil anything, right?

There has been countless videos made on this theory, so to say it's "dead and stupid" simply proves you don't know what you're talking about. Yeah the healing items not replenishing is easily the worst part of the game, adds a potential element of grind. Especially when one of the few things Lords of the Fallen offered a good choice where you could sacrifice experience for healing items.
You can buy healing items with currency (souls) in bb
Cami Diago Surely the currency should be blood!
Xecium Games blood echoes
yanipheonu if you heal a lot, the problem is ultimately that you are bad at the game.
As always.
4:58 Well...

thats amazing.
+Jacob Byus He meant that he would have liked not to have to enter the Hunter's Dream every time he wanted to fast-travel.
The loading screens are so short now that it is pretty much the same speed as Dark Souls overall.
+Jacob Byus *note, this review was published at least 9 months ago so it's safe to assume that he played the game during the period in which the loading times were horrifyingly long.

I saw them in Angry Joe's gameplay video.
You mean blood cow.
capthavic Otogi II I'll always remember.
capthavic Metal Wolf Chaos is a From Software game?
That does it, now they gotta make a Dark Souls in America game now!
capthavic I miss badass robot/mech 'slposion mashups games (Mech Warrior/Amoured Core). hopefully they make a comeback like NEStalgia games (Shovel Knight), space sims (Elite Dangerous/ FTL), Old-School FPS' (Wolfenstein/Shadow Warrior/Brutal Doom) and MetroidVania games (Ori and the Blind Forest).
The descriptions and similes in this are awe-inspiring. Sincere bravo :D
it's funny that the one boss he specifically comments on for being bodies smashed together is the only boss like that in the game

From Software also makes the Armored Core series. Please somebody check it out it's like an accurate representation of mecha when it comes to stat management. Playing BB for the first time this week, it's my first Souls game (though not my first Metroidvania style game) pretty much agree completely, especially the notion of having to go back and farm weaker enemies like some other games. It might not be so bad if they'd randomised enemy placement so each time you go through it's still a challenge and not a chore, apart from that this frustratingly hard game has won me over.... so far.
This was my first souls game. Now I've played all of them. 😉
Love how there's like only 2 or 3 compliments in a review filled with comments ranging from snarky to outright bile-filled bitterness, so it only made it to #4 on the best of the year list 😂
I'm pretty sure you can upgrade the PS4 hard drive to a SSD, that might improve loadtimes a bit.
Tony I hope the PS4 has the TRIM command.
Tony from what iv heard the 40 second load times are WITH SSDs
WHAT THE FUDGE
・ヘリオディン That's fine and all but SSDs will always be a viable upgrade for any hardware. If you have an SSD in your PS4 the load times will be cut almost in half, and that's incredibly significant considering the amount of times you will be expected to go through them. You are literally wasting your life the longer you have to sit through loading screens which is why I never want to go back to hard drives.
I've seen the benchmarks, and my own experience is enough to tell me that what I said is true, and I said almost in half, not exactly. So where in your benchmarks are the times for Bloodborne? I'll provide one for you instead:
www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-bloodborne-performance-analysis
You say they don't have a great impact, so while here it may not be as "half" as you would expect, those three to twelve seconds you save per loading screen make a huge difference even if they aren't being used to their full potential because the numbers start to add up very quickly the longer you play. In any case as I've said before, getting an SSD can only be considered a positive and they are definitely worth it for any hardware that supports it.
So grateful you kept this spoiler-free, thank you
WeeWeeJumbo I think he just didn't beat it yet or he wouldn't have lol.
Game is oozing with atmosphere and all around just brilliant.

www.kdramastars.com/articles/80705/20150406/bloodborne-pc-release.htm
But I agree that it is about time the PS4 (heck any console) got a game worth playing. The main problem that I have with it is that rather than just make good games, the companies resort to tactics that make them look pathetic and desperate because they know they are offering a product that is just flat out sucks in comparison to their competitors.
***** Actually... thats a good point. Screw this. Exclusives hurt

It took me entirely too long in this game to find out that you can just buy blood vials with blood echoes at the home base area. And stuff you put into storage fills up your inventory space when you respawn. So you can just buy like 100 vials and never run out.
Do yourself a favor and just buy blood vials, seriously the amount of time it saves is tremendous.
Not sure why he didn't just do that. Could've fought the stronger enemies and bought more blood vials with their blood echoes.

...Even though it takes a lot of money to mass release a game on multiple platforms and seeing as though Dark Souls 2 was being developed around the same time, they spent all their money on that instead of Bloodborne, hence being only for PS4.

Funny how they fixed the loading screen problem
+Loyal-TF-Fan _
Yes it was hilarious, I laughed so much.
Aedd Gynvael
I have to say, for me it was fixed. Each for their own, I guess. :)

It's not a subjective preference, 30 seconds (in some situations) is still painfully bad.
(I think it was faster than BB loads now)
DkS1 and 2 on PC load for about ~3-5 seconds from when you select your character, or after you travel/respawn at a bonfire. That's what I'm used to.
Fear not! There's an upcoming patch which is going to improve loading times and fix some fps drops.
its funny that if you go back to yahtzees review of Demon's Souls he disliked the challenge and described it as banging you head on a wall. now here he actually likes banging his head on a wall.
volt792000 Its almost like someone can change their mind.
Its almost like someone can change their mind about an analogy*
Someone sounds aggressive.
I believe so
volt792000 Calm down, you fucking spaz
My friend(hostage) once asked me, 'what is blood borne?' And I replied 'it's dark souls on its period.'
"How man times FromSoftware are you gonna fall back on monster made of multiple bodies mashed together?"
There are two enemies that fit this description in the entire game, and a whopping one boss.
+Robert Bringardner I believe that he was referencing across all of the From Software games. For example, in DkS1 we had Gravelord Nito and DkS2 had The Rotten, while Bloodborne has The One Reborn and some other thing I can't remember.
+Robert Bringardner One Reborn and Ludwig the Accursed?
+Shadow Demon the monstrosities in the unseen village (cramped caskets) As the DLC wasn't out at the time of this review
Even the basic townsfolk enemies are more interesting than many other games enemies
darksouls 3?
In 2 weeks.
+Hidden Squid Where'd ya hear that?
***** It may have been my power of clairvoyance.
Or I when to the Escapist's Web site, watched the next Zero punctuation and, when the credits were rolling, saw a part that said something along the lines of "Fine, Dark Souls 3 next week."
+Mehmet Alan I cant wait for that video!
No Bloodborne For PC = No Reason To Live

Yatzeeh, you forget From's bread and butter was armored core before this. Speaking of which... anyone know if there's another AC coming out anytime soon?
Mateus da Rosa Tosta If Bloodborne and Scholar of the First Sin is any indication, From is focusing on the Souls game for the moment. Which is a shame, because I've been really getting into the AC games lately (Played 5 and Verdict Day, planning on getting 4 and 4A). That being said, I'd completely lose my shit if an AC 6 was announced or teased in the next year or so......
Yeah, I see your point. AC6 would be amazing, though.
AC6 on PS4..."HERE IS MY MONEY! TAKE ALL OF IT!"
Funny thing about the warping mechanic is that if you were allowed to warp between any two laterns without having to make a stop at the Hunter's Dream first, the lore would get a bit bent out of shape... Not massively so, sure, but still...
