You're the reason I picked up SnS today :) I've got a long way to go, but I'm optimistic. Right now having a lot of trouble finding windows when to backhop (and even getting used to properly get the input off) but I know I'll get there eventually. Keep it up! You're amazing!
Tip : don't rely on backhop too much, in Sunbreak monsters have alot of follow ups, backhops just makes you vulnerable to that follow ups. Try slot it embolden for solo and evade window for multiplayer and dodge normally. Just use backhops when you know it's a single attack (usually big attack) or backhop the follow-up, not the initial attack
@@atziwy just get the two main skills, melee centric and element attack up and use element weapons. For the gear it's dual bladed chains and blitz scroll
Nice run!! Is there a big difference in the (switch controller) A,A,XA and A,A,X combos damage? Or are you using XA to save sharpness maybe? Or is it faster, better positioning?
Sorry im not familiar with switch controller but i hope im right. Does the A-A-XA are for lateral slash-return stroke-roundslash? And the A-A-X is for lateral slash-return stroke-twin blade? If so, both are used in different situation. The roundslash combo deals more damage against monsters that have high raw hitzone-low element hitzone or low raw hitzone-low element hitzone. Since roundslash raw motion value are really high, its better to use it against low raw hitzone-low element hitzone like malzeno. For the twin blade, its better for element focus matchups, like diablos, gore, since the element mod is high with twin blade, making it deals more damage if you have high element. But that doesnt mean you only use twin blade for element, it have the same motion value as lateral slash/return stroke, so in a raw matchup its not bad. One thing twin blade lacks are mobility, although you can do a direction input, youre stuck with the animation until the 2nd hit are finished. Tldr : roundslash deals more damage against raw focused monsters, while faster and more safer. Twin blade got less mobility, burns sharpness faster, but deals high element damage. Feel free to mix up the movesets to your liking!
@@judaulul Yeah that's exactly it. I play on PS5 but figured Switch was more relatable to the game sorry lol. Awesome! that's good to know. I guess i find myself using the twinblade more often for the simple fact that i used it on switch, then went back to base game on PS5 and couldn't use it anymore lol. But i really like the roundslash and as you say, it has better mobility for sure. I'll def get into practice of using them according to elemental weakness for when i finally get the last updates where element will matter more thanks a lot for the detailed and quick response! really appreciate it!

makes stuns and topples last longer (except wyvern ride topple)

Increase any duration of a topple such as stun, hellfire cloak, blastoads. Wyvern ride topple are not affected
