Brad Davis, Rolando Blackman, and now Derek Harper have their jerseys retired in Dallas. Aguirre is the second best player ever to play for the Mavs and should be up there. It ain't right. Derek Harper on Aguirre: "This dude averaged 20 [points] for his career," Harper said. "How the hell can you not recognize Mark Aguirre, for better or worse, the good and the bad, whatever he went through here? Just appreciate the guy. To me, he's the most misunderstood human being in my life. Appreciate what he was as a player for the Mavericks."

The Detroit Pistons don't win the 1989 title if they hadn't traded for Mark Aguirre.
They don't repeat in 1990 if he doesn't accept his role as a reserve to get Dennis Rodman in the starting lineup.
Detroit went 48-6 after his trade in 1989.
Detroit went on a 25-1 streak in 1990 after he switched roles with Rodman.
That's a 73-7 record in that stretch, a stretch better than the Bulls 72-10 streak.

The first Dallas Maverick superstar. Disliked him as a Piston, more.

People this is what happens when you have a BAD ATTITUDE. Mark was always GREAT but he rubbed GOOD people the wrong way. Now it comes back to bite him. No jersey retired in Dallas and No Hall Of Fame
