I am so happy when missy in the test shows how she has much better social skills, can think out of the box, shows she can relate to other people's feelings and emotions emotions, which sheldon has no idea how to do.

I personally believe that Sheldon's IQ is higher than missy's but missy's EQ is higher than Sheldon's. That means we can't quite compare their intelligence cause both of them are smart is different ways.

Realistically speaking, the word “smart” is its own entity. Someone like Sheldon is extremely intelligent. High IQ. Knows facts and by the book knowledge. Missy is extremely intuitive and empathetic. Picks up on emotional cues and keenly interprets them correctly. The term “wisdom” is what missy is a genius at, in spite of her young age. “Smart” is a broad encompassing term that can be used in different ways depending on the situation or perspective. Sheldon is smart because he’s intelligent but missy is also smart because she’s astute and discerning. In the scene where Sheldon dismantles the fridge, he was trying to prove he was smart by finding the problem. His mom, after seeing the destruction asked him if he still thinks he’s smart when he is unable to fix it He still says yes, because in his mind he is still “intelligent”, but his fixation on only one spectrum of the word reveals his extreme lack of discernment. The problem for Sheldon is that he has complete awareness of his level of intellect, which, unfortunately for him, dampens his ability and willingness to absorb real world wisdom and and discernment which plagues him with complete unaware social awkwardness. Meaning, he can be very stupid and yet not be aware of it. In this sense Missy is way smarter than Sheldon. Sheldon was only excited by the study because of the prospect of it validating his intellect. Missy, like her parents only came around when she knew there would be something in it for her to make it worth her while, which is “real world smarts”
and georgie is buisness smart, he can maximize profits on any buisness with his stragety, something missy and sheldon would not be able to do. He would be able to handle buisness meetings and create better representation for buisness work. He also knows how to get more for the buck. In one episode he told missy how to get more money from the candy she was selling

I don't think so. Missy's impulsiveness and lack of discipline leads to her fing up her life. She has some abilities, but lacks the wisdom to use them wisely and effectively.

I just love how these siblings are smart on their own ways. It's just like in our real world, we're being overshadowed by the other circumstances specially when it comes to other people expectations on us that's why we more likely to copy other people or be what they told us to be rather than exploring & enhancing more about our own gift/talents. This was 30 years ago; inflation has been a b****.
My parents mortgage was $350/mo. They bought the house in 76 for around $40k. It was a 3 br 2 bath farm house that sat on 4 acres with a barn and garage. When my parents died in 2017, we sold the house for $275k. Seeing how this show takes place in the 80's in Texas, I can't imagine that their mortgage was much more than my parents. Especially given how small it is.
To be fair, this was a long time ago. Money was worth more back then, meaning prices were lower.

Are you kidding? She catered to, coddled and spoiled the crap out of Sheldon and mostly ignored Missy. There are 2 sets of rules: the ones that Georgie and Missy have to follow and a separate set of more permissive rules for Sheldon.
She is fine at first, but n later seasons her true colors show as a coddler for Sheldon and cold and distant towards missy and Georgie.

Missy is an empath. Empaths are always alone and don’t get any help really mostly alone. You don’t need to be smart to be an empath. I have a learning disability and I’m an empath. Empaths are reading emotions. Pictures have energy and emotions easy to read for us. We can just read it like it’s nothing. No one can hide anything from us too. We always know something is up.

There's a great one in the episode about the Supercollider creating a black hole. In the scenario where they act out being in a reality where Sheldon is normal and Missy is a genius, Missy is actually being Amy, complete with glasses and facial mannerisms.
Guys can you please help me out? I need to know who is book smart and who is street smart and how big their IQs are, but i seem to have trouble finding a comment that explains all that... I hope you can give me some examples from various episodes on who did what and how much that proves your theory... Thanks :)

Ha ha. Years before Sheldon remembered Meemaw's brisket recipe when she just said it once. Missy was there and her memory of the event was just white noise. Georgie was there too, and he didn't remember anything either.

My brother is a Ph.d , my other is 2 Masters and because I had under dx'd adhd/ brain injuries i was considered dumb. I eventually acquired 2 trades and 3 small businesses.

Am I the only one who thinks Missy is being treated like the big sister, even though she and Sheldon are twins?
More is always expected of girls. If a boy uses his superior strength to lift, move, carry things, and goes to a job to bring home money, he is praised for his usefulness and little else is expected of him.
Girls are expected to do everything from taking care of everyone, physically and emotionally, remembering everything for everyone, being the doctor or nurse, being the financial wizard, knowing what presents to buy for family, friends, teachers, etc.
The list never ends, yet ppl value males more than females and expect little from them as compared to girls.
She seriously always seemed like the smarter one. Not sure what happened to her as an adult.

$50 per hour for 4-5 hours a week equals $250 which is more than their mortgage. I'm pretty sure in the late 1980s our mortgage was more than $250.
Four weeks a month is $1000. My mortgage in the same time period was about $550.

Maybe Adult Sheldon refered to the psychiatrist he went to. The one who said "right on" repeatedly. Plus Sheldon's mom (in TBBT) commented that she should've followed up with a specialist in Houston.

No it was in season 3 after doctor sturgis had manic episode he went to a psychic hospitality and Mary worry because he and sheldon are so similar so she test him to see if sheldon had something. It turns out everything was normal
