I just purchased the MEC 8567N, and currently getting it set up in my shop. I'm a first time re-loader. So, soaking up all the info I can gather. I noticed in this video you have a new attachment to your MEC - the black plate on the right side. Can you explain what purpose that serves? I didn't see any reference to it in the literature that came with my unit. I'll need to do some searching on the the MEC website perhaps.

Hello Jason, and you bet. The press in this video is actually a MEC 9000 so the plate you see on the right side is part of the auto-indexing mechanism. The only significant difference between an 8567 and a 9000 is the auto-rotation of the shell plate following the upstroke of the handle. On the 8567, you have to manually rotate the shells around after each pull of the handle, where on the 9000, it does this automatically. Happy reloading!

@@nells1776 Ahh! Didn't notice you switched presses in this video. Conundrum solved! Thanks for posting the these @Nells. I'm finding there aren't a lot of videos out there on the 8567N.

@@jasonjennings9389 I actually made these videos for my dad as he was learning to use the progressive press. The 8567 in the other videos is his. Glad you like them!
