    My type of practicing is playing Stevie Rae Vaughn and getting that crazy feeling you get when you hear something you want, and I go hop on the guitar I’ve got a ways to go till I sound like SRV but when you noodled on the high E string, that’s how I first started and I’m just evolving that through much playing.
    Thank you for your wisdom, I actually picked up on guitar through my spiritual journey, I played piano for a while but I just had a urge to play the guitar and I don’t really know how to explain it but I can get closer to my guitar than a piano, I feel like my soul was meant to be a rock and roll soul

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome! SRV has a great technique that's why he can play a great blues with that speed! If you work on some foundation then you can play much easier. Thanks so much!!

    I have been using the minor pentatonic scale for years and got stuck in the same routine. This video just opened up the factthat I can also play the relevant major scale. I remember another guitarist asking me "how is it you don't play in the major scale as well" I remember looking at him like he was nuts. That was years ago. There are now a whole load of places that I can play that I wouldn't have gone to.. Need to go back for some lessons now that I have this available..Thanks again..

Aspiring musicisian here and my inspiration is your student john mayer and sir eric clapton but I dont have electric guitar because my family is in the average financial state. I have an accoustic guitar but the neck brokes because it has no truss rod. I just fix it by my own using mighty bond.hahaha but the problem is there is a gap between neck and the strings and when I play it my fingers really hurts. my plan is if I will have that thing maybe I could help my family and I want to pay my studies by my own. I really love blues and a little bit funk. I'll wait for that sir and I hope that I will win. Hahaha

    Tomo, If I'm right I believe this song is in key of G maj. ??? If so I'm trying to understand why you are playing the C maj. scale (including D Dorian) instead of the G maj. (with A Dorian) ? I'm trying to put all the theory in proper place but this confused me. Thanks if you can respond.

      Charles S., the Am is the 6 chord in C major, the Dm is the 2, and the G is the 5. Could also think of it in Am, but that's C's relative minor so they're essentially the same. Hope that's helpful.

      Is it in Gmaj? The chords make it seem to be in Am/Cmajor. Dm is not in G major. G major would have D major as a 5th. So I'm pretty sure this song is in A minor
