Returning contenders like 2009 250cc MX runner-up and 2-time SX Lites East champ Christophe Pourcel, rookie Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia, Trey Canard, Nico Izzi, SX Lites West champ Jake Weimer, British transplant Max Anstie, South African transplant Tyla Rattray, England transplant Tommy Searle, Broc Tickle, Pro Circuit rookie Dean Wilson and others battle it out for the 2010 Lucas Oil 250cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. This is the rookie 250cc seasons of current 250cc Motocross champ Eli Tomac, and 2011 250cc champ Dean Wilson. GEICO Honda's Trey Canard continues his late-season charge to win the championship with a 1-1 sweep, marking the best late-season charge for a championship since Mike Brown was down 59 pts. with 6 races to go in 2001 to win the title over Grant Langston in the final moto after Travis Pastrana pulled out of the series due to 2 bad crashes and 2 separate concussions in 3 races.
