I did it on my first try, i watched almost all the video in 0.25 speed and i even skipped some small parts: i thought i would fail but it really worked :D! you just need a lot lot lot lot lot lot of patience to do this xD

Great box! Worked like a breeze. I found an easier way to do the lid. Because of the extra layers in the lid it doesn't stay closed. I use a 30 x 30 cm heavy art paper for all new practise pieces. This way you can crease really well with out the papaer falling apart. Once finished, you might have to secure the inner lid folds with glue to ensure they don't push open the box again. If I get time I'll put up the lid adjustments. A great challenging piece though! Thanks!
this is wonderful. my advice to origami amateurs take your time. This a 20 minute fold and shes really good, yours might take double that time. a really hard origami model can take an hour. its a fun hobbie i love it

I think this is an excellent tutorial for intermediate level origamists ready to challenge themselves and the pace is perfect. If this is too difficult for you, you feel frustrated, or think words would help, you need to practice more with less complicated projects. Try doing the menko w/Leyla Torres tutorial until you can make it on your own. Then this one will not be so difficult. This is not a good project for beginners.

Can you please start using two-tone paper in your tutorials? It is very difficult to see and follow your folds with paper that has the same color on both sides, especially for the more complex designs. Thank you, in advance!!
Argh. Got it, but it won't stay closed. I think I folded it too tightly to begin with... that or the paper's too thin. Hopeful for the second attempt :) Great tutorial!
