      What weave do you recommend to do one of these pouches for a wider tool like a Leatherman ST 300? Thanks. I tried a cobra with a four strand core instead of 2, but there might be others

    Thanks! a great little project! I made one for my Gerber lock knife and it works really well.
    My first go at making something with paracord and I found it quite therapeutic, It's like knitting for men 😂.

    I have already made many bracelets, key chains, knife lanyards, cord for carrying an umbrella, boat cords, as well as a bracelet for a watch and once a pouch for a pocket knife. But this one is great! I made it according to your instructions, and it looks absolutely fantastic. Very satisfied. Thank you.

    Will cover myself with paracord and definitely copy this. I have my Leatherman Surge on my belt for everyday use, but the pouch it comes with has had its best days, the nylon is partially torn and full of holes. Will do the vertical carry as it gives me easy access to my multitool. Thanks for the tutorial!

    Thank you for the tutorial. I’m new at this. First, I made a simple survival bracelet. Always wanted one but could never find one that fit (9in Wrist). When I saw this tutorial, I will now make a case for my all-metal Camillus. I’ve carried for over thirty years. (Retired in ’94). Thanks again.

    Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial. Following , mostly, your instructions I made a pouch for my leather man than as an after thought I attached the holster for my flashlight.

    Mad Max style knife pouch: basically get a piece of paracord about 2 1/2 ft long (depending on your knife) and then fold it in half. About 1 1/4 ft the way tie a diamond knot. Then take a separate piece of paracord and then start weaving the cobra knot or Solomon knot from the diamond knot. when you get to the hole essentially just leave enough space for the diamond knot to go through and then do the rest you did in your video! Hope I can help! :)

    This is such a wonderful idea. I started making para cord dog collars & leashes for my dogs about five years ago. It’s such a fun project anytime you’re working with para cord.

    I scaled this up for an iron nunchaku of mine. The stitched portion is very forgiving to weave. This pouch/case will keep any tool or item safe and dry with style.

    Good home for my Kershaw Lucha. Vertical carry and the paracord I used is called heart of darkness.

    i was very lucky to find your tutorial. i tried it for my SWK Ranger (yea a bit thicker than your knife in this video). So it work but... it doesnt work really beautiful like your pouch. it became "bulgy" like a round ppouch for the handle of a Hammer. SO maybe i need a tutorial with the double edge of 2 lines of cobraknots - but dont know how...
    THe Second fail was when i used my tactical belt for the belt-loops... yea the tactical belt has NO flat end like a common belt... so after finishing i couldnt get the Belt out of the pouch-loop.
    From the fails (and of course your video) i learned many things^^
    i hope someday i will find a thicker pouch-tutorial.
    thank you very much and have a nice day. :) you are awesome!

    Hands down my most favorite paracord project so far, at the bottom I didn’t connect the webbing to the bottom of the cobra because mine was super stiff, I made this for a whittling knife, and I wrapped the knife in cardboard and popsicle sticks, so it can stiffen up a bit loosely! I also used a snake knot instead of the buckle as it looks a bit better in my opinion.

    • @MisterReach
      @MisterReach 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How did you use a snake knot instead of a buckle? I want to make one but I don’t currently have a buckle.

    I just made one with the vertical belt loops for my SOG PowerPint! Now I won't have to worry about my multitool opening while it's in my cargo pocket. It's actually quite similar to a belt pouch that I made a while back for my Streamlight Stylus Pro, except I didn't do the weave across the front of that one so it is open.
    This is so much better than the cheap nylon webbing belt pouches that come with some tools from the factory!

    I'm thinking about trying this design for my fishing pliers because the sheath they came with is not very user friendly. For the beltloop portion, i am thinking of fashioning a buckle closure type loop instead of the standard belt loops because i would like to be able to wear it on my belt or clip it on the molle style loops on my fishing bag when walking creeks or kayaking for more versatility. I would greatly appreciate any tips you have for this slite modification to this design. As always, great, easy to understand tutorial. I really appreciate your videos! I just got into paracording about 3 years ago, and i always look for your videos first if i have something i want to craft. Thank you!!

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Danielle, that's a great idea! If you want to change the belt loops so that they're on buckles, I'd use two small side release buckles. Ones that are about 0.5" wide and you can use the some gutted paracord, but you'll need two pieces of gutted cord per buckle. You can cow hitch the cord onto one side of the buckle, pass both ends through the pouch, bend both ends back through the pouch and then tie cobra knots over the core strands going back towards the buckle. You'll have to do this 4 times on each side of the buckles if you're using two buckles. Does that make sense? OR the other choice would be to use one single larger buckle perhaps 1 inch wide and attach the buckle with a similar method, but you'd have to wrap the cord around the buckle enough times to fill the slot so that the cords don't slide back and forth . Hope that makes enough sense lol, kinda hard to just describe it all. Thank you for your comment!

    THis is great. I will make one for my Swiss Army Knife. I like the horizontal one. And I also like that as it is paracord it is sturdy but the is near to no chance that you can scratch something with it. Great stuff!!! Thanks.

  • @alfredocalzoni8161
    @alfredocalzoni8161 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh, and i did the whole pouch with one stripe of paracord (no cutting, no remove the core-stripes) AND both ends coming together to a loop on the side. So i can hang my mini flashlight on. it became a bit bulgy, but the whole paracord is still useable (except the belt-loops)

      Ah darn, I'm assuming you cut the excess cords already? Yeah, not much you can do if it's too tight and you've already snipped and melted the excess ends. I've wasted a good amount of paracord in this process as well, so you're not alone! lol

    • @a8lg6p
      @a8lg6p 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not yet! I'm at like 6:43, just finishing the first side panel. But what could I do, walk it all the back through the weave? I guess it would be doable, but seems like it would be super-tedious. I might have something else I could use it for. It's been a fun project! Great tutorial!@@TheWeaversofEternity
