Thanks for the great reminder that not every ride (even for XC racers) has to be a sufferfest. Places like that little retreat are perfect for welcoming folks into the sport.
I always tell the kids I coach in NICA - if you are having “fun first” you are mostly doing it right. So we often call out “fun first!” While they are riding,
I love, love love Whitefish...I've been fishing there dozens of times, many other adventures. DID NOT know about the bike stuff... Being more awesome!!
We were there just 2 weeks after you. Such a great spot. We loved that fact that you could ride singletrack all the way in to town. Such fun riding and such a great little bike Retreat. Keep being awesome!
Love that you guys found this place, it really is a great spot. If you ever find yourself back in whitefish you need to check out Spencer mountain which is just down the way from the retreat.
Can't wait to see the Canadian content! This was perhaps the calm before the storm of what race is ahead of you north of the border. Great to see you enjoy some fun flow trails during down time, Team!
Alaska has several competitive fat bike races in the winter. Would love to see you come up and ride something totally out of the norm. Could help put it together including lodging. Also a chance for a little skiing while your here.
Macky's socks are cool! Wish I had a trail system like that around my house... Hey and what's with those foot-long grips on your and Syd's bikes? When I raced in the last century, I used L-shaped Bar-ends....these were great for climbing and of course different hand holds during the race...I guess they are not "cool" anymore...
Yeah, bar ends have gone out of fashion. I used to use them back in the mid 2000s but I think as bars got wider and more aggressive trails and descending became more popular people decided they weren't worth the extra hand positions.
I had that same comment about new trails and always needing to stop and check the map. What a PITA! I don’t like to have my phone on the handlebars because I smashed one that way on a fall. 😢
You guys have to promise to come back and ride here again. You've only scratched the surface of the Flathead Valley and almost no TH-cam creators have.
If you think this is good bike connected infrastructure, you would explode at the stuff connected to the N. Minnesota trails - Cuyuna/Tioga/Redhead/Duluth. Less so for Jackpot and Split Rock, but those are coming along.
I've been watching some trials riders, trying to get tips for bike handling skills. It's easy to forget we ride bikes because it's fun. Also, Stages picked good people to sponsor. I'm absolutely convinced I need, despite having gone my entire life without. It would solve so many issues with my local trails. Great trails, terrible signage. Man, advertising works.
I can't remember when I last saw you guys just having fun riding bikes. So cool.

I am a couple hours from whitefish, will definitely check it out!

Spent a couple of days here in August. It was amazing! I will be back next summer.
So great meeting you guys!!! Next time yall pass this way, let us know in advance!!! Glad yall enjoyed your stay with us.
I love, love love Whitefish...I've been fishing there dozens of times, many other adventures. DID NOT know about the bike stuff... Being more awesome!!
WBR is such a great place, they put us up when we were running from the fires in 2018 on a bikepacking trip. Great folks, super cool place.
My cousin got married at that little area at 9:16! Crazy seeing it in one of your videos, such a nice place to be :)

This was so FUN! Nice reminder that sometimes, "Be(ing) more awesome!" doesn't mean higher/faster/farther. Sometimes, it's about focusing on FUN! :D
Such a beautiful part of the country.
Holy goodness that place is gorgeous. And you definitely should have fat bikes. Year round riding for those of us stuck in the northern climes.
Sickk! Love the whitefish bike retreat! Grandparents have a cabin up in whitefish. Glad y’all came to check it out!
This was so much fun! Thank you both!!!!
Fat biking is a blast. It's how we keep going up here in southern Ontario during winterror season. Once your into it, you'll love it..
Always a good time watching you guys. I’m excited for the up and coming. Your last video was epic.
Can't wait to see the Canadian content! This was perhaps the calm before the storm of what race is ahead of you north of the border.
Great to see you enjoy some fun flow trails during down time, Team!
Fun video. Yes, trails around Whitefish are excellent; but, you do have to diligently watch out for bears.
My local trails, woot! Can also fat bike Beaver Lake Loop in the Winter.
Fun video, those trails look fun. Thought of you today when I went MTb…. I’ve missed it a lot!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video Syd & Macky. Always brightens my day when’s new vid drops.
Good to see you both enjoying your bikes.
Check out Marquette MI sometime for a dope fatbike experience

I’m trying to be more awesome but I can’t compete with Syd.
Peaceful, Beautiful & UnBurnt!
Fun video! Are you plannng to do any more rear facing videos? I really liked the one you experimented with. You two will rock in Canada!
Yeah, we'll be trying to incorporate it more, it's just hard to change old habits!
I am so happy when watching your videos! Syd is my inspiration to my long injury recovery!!
Theres been a shit ton of bears out here in pisgah..we usually hoot n holler most of the time we ride..some of us go armed just in case
Excited for daily content!
Bummer. Was just in whitefish. Was covered in smoke….😢 hopefully I can come back
Man that place looks so beautiful and so much fun. I wish it wasn't 2000 miles away. 😞
you guys rock. I always look forward to your new vids.

That's why we like the Stages Dash computers, they're way more robust (and smaller) than have a phone on the handlebars!
@@sydandmacky Thanks for the tip, I will check this out! 👍

Marquette, MI = fat bike heaven if you ever find yourself finally looking into trying fat biking

Nice vid!

Very nice
Stay safe bro
fun rides are more my speed
Fat bikes are awesome!
Hey, I live here!
Is Macky right or left foot dominant? I can't tell.
I'm glad to hear that. I've worked hard to be able to ride comfortably either way!
Confirmed, Syd’s cooler then Macky because she did the stump!

So worth it (link in the description with a discount code 😉)!
Fat bike worlds.
