Just a little clarification re the bustimes.org website. As I said during the video, I use it for every walk/video that I do. And it's not just all about the times of buses. It tells me if there are buses in the area I'm planning to walk in, and how I might travel from A to B via a bus or buses. I'm afraid these days many bus services have been cut back, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a bus in the area you're thinking of visiting. As one example, it was once the case that you could get a bus direct from Glasgow to Aberfoyle. Now you can't. Buses only go as far as Balfron, and instead a service called Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) was introduced. I see this as a failing, as the very act of having to book effectively wipes out spontaneous visits. As far as I am concerned, the decline in prosperity in places like Aberfoyle is a direct result of a reduction in public transport in the area.
It can look slightly overwhelming when you first open the home page of the website, and as such, this is how I use it: In a web search engine, simply key in the name of the place you wish to travel from, and the place you're trying to get to. Also key in 'bustimes'. A number of results will pop up. Look for the result from the bustimes website, and with any luck what you will now see is either a page of buses operating in that area, or the times of those buses. You can even alter the day and get accurate times on any particular day of the week. As I said during the video, if there's a bus in the area, then use it. On far too many occasions these days, and even pre-Covid, I would be the only passenger on the bus. Either use it, or lose it!

Really enjoyed that Eddy, good to see you back to your best after the mishaps of last week.
Even better to have you skipping down the lane with some excellent rhythm!
You have a great sense of humour. Take care my friend, and looking forward to the next adventure, regards Rob.

Had a pie with me, but there was a little light rain and sitting down somewhere wasn't an option. Maybe next time.

I'm sure there used to be a gooseberry bush on the road heading up to Drumbrae, but I couldn't see it.

Good one Eddy. We moved into this area a couple of months ago and like you saw come across some amazing scenery of little road side openings. It's wonerful.

Many thanks. One of the bonuses of an Ordnance Survey Landranger map is you can find little roads that you perhaps didn't even know existed. Take care.

    Hello Ed,
Very short walk but still enjoyable. We love your chatter and of course your sense of humour. We're always amazed that you come and go by bus, that in itself is quite a challenge, holding you to their timetables. Missed you trying the local pies but this was easily remedied in the pub at the end of the walk. What a lovely pub it looked, we could almost smell it. Your pint looked really nice, a nice way to end your walk. Loved your skipping, I get the feeling that it's going to become a regular thing and may become your trade mark as well as your pie eating, lol. Take care Ed, look forward to your next walk.
    Ian and Angie.

Ed..echoing previous comment, I'm glad to see you are ok. I thought for a moment you were going to self 'Bleep' at the start of this one, due to the background 'interference' you mention! :) I thoroughly enjoyed the video, (as always)....and learned a new expression into the bargain....."Dappely dods of sunshine" (love that). Stay safe and take care, catch you on the next one. (Three day washing...who knew?)

I fear the world made a big mistake when it invented things that go 'Bleep!'.

Lovely walk and the brewery is a plus 😂 glamping pods are fancy camping tents basically. Camping in style and comfort, usually have more mod cons etc. Always fancied them myself but they cost an arm and a leg

I must say Ed that you are really starting to hit them out of the park. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Some of the best scenes you've ever captured on video (or anyone else has for that matter). A question if I may: do you write the music before or after the video? What I mean is do you already have pieces of music written and then just pick what suites the video, or do you score the music as you watch your video? Either way your music certainly has become an integral part of what makes an "Ed Explores Scotland" video so great. All the best and keep safe.

Many thanks. Re the music, that's a good question. I generally come up with a bit of music first, and if I like it and think it works with the video, then I'll use it. That said, at the stage of coming up with the music I generally know what the next video will be, so perhaps some subconscious process takes place to allow something suitable to be created. I will at times alter the length of some video footage so it fits better with the music flow. The basic music at the end of this video was created for the footage. I set the metronome exactly to the rhythm of my footsteps so it looks like I'm walking and skipping in time to the music. I have great admiration for anyone who does actually create music for a video or film. All the best.

4.19...I love that piece of music Ed, did you do that yourself.

Many thanks. 'Tis indeed music I made myself. Even managed to walk in time to it, although how I managed that I'm not entirely sure. Take care.

The deodorant musings were funny ha ha. I find buses are too expensive, as got another 4 years to go till I get my bus pass, so have to go out in my wee car to get to places, though I don't travel very far as have the countryside and fife coastal path/pilgrim way on my doorstep. Fancy trying some distance walks next year, when hopefully life becomes more normal, fingers crossed! Take care.

Great video - locally they pronounce "Touch" to sound like "Tooch" with the "ch" pronounced as you would with Loch! Confusing!!!

666 subscribers , hope it doesn’t stop there 🤣. Do people take note of that litter notice, nothing worse than cyclists who toss their empty bottles on the verge. Glamping is posh camping in wooden pods usually with heating and plenty of water for a wash 😂. Where is the fun in that. Great walk as always with lovely views.
