    Jeff your story is so accurate. Just reading Kenya Looters and Grabbers and am perplexed by the 'Ngorokos' and Njonjo's wits to keep Moi in power at the time.

    Jeff gets his history wrong here. Njonjo schooled with Sir Seretse Khama, the first president of Botswana. Both were sons of Chiefs. Both studied law. Both shared a student’s lodge. Both had ambitions to marry British girls, and they did. Both wanted to rule their countries upon return from studies. Sir Seretse Khama succeeded but Njonjo was messed up by the 82 coup. He would have succeeded. He was put under house arrest by Moi. That’s how he disappears. Then he was released from house arrest late 90s and appointed by President Moi to chair boards. The Queen interfered with the treason case because Njonjo was part of Free Masonry. He was given the St John’s medal
