Question: at 3:20 of the video, I see the bridge in wood material, shaped nicely, rounded corners. How do you go from wooden surface to finished surfaces in 3:30 ? is the wood's surface skinned with fiberglass?
Good afternoon Noli. Your guess is correct. All surfaces, outside of the living quarters, made of wood or foam, get covered with fiberglass. Then the paint crew takes the entire structure through the fairing and painting process until it is the beautiful glossy surfaces you see at the end of the video. It is an involved process that looks deceptively simple when being done by our skilled craftspeople. Good question. Thank you.
That is a complicated question. There are a lot of factors to consider for that kind of change, including limitations to customizability, weight savings vs. hull strength, and high expense. So far for our boats that has not been favorable, but technology is always advancing. So, who knows, at some point composite hulls may be a feasible option. Good question. Thank you. RV
@@JarrettBay I am a technician in the industry seems like that's the way companies are going I've always said need wood in a boat to make it ride good.
Looking good 👍
I loved the view of Adams Creek at the end.
It reminds me of all the times fishing up and down the Nuese river.
I assumed we would see the finished product
given the title.
Looking forward to the 'Ground up' finale.
So much detail, planning, work, amazing.
More please!.
Excellent.
Come on. The videos are only 5 minutes long. We need more!
