Not defending Slacks, dude is not someone that deserves defending, but Johnson technically got fired not because he did it, but because he lied about doing it
That said, the "lie" was just omitting the extremely minor fact that he said a one-liner before punching K. So it's still stupid and Slacks was still a terrible Captain

The first thing I thought of, as I watched this go down on stream, was that: fist-fighting was exactly what led to Johnson getting in trouble/fired... yet here we see Mr. Integrity take a swing at it.
I'm sure they will 'look into it' and find they had done no wrong-doing.
[Slacks will probably claim he was simply using the proper use-of-force as violent threats were made and he felt no need was present to escalate beyond fists.]
