I have the sd 2.0 red edition. The rear settings may have been corrected as mine were built per manual and caliper measured. Some things need work on the settings like the ride hight but i feel it goes hand and hand because too much ride hight on this chassis and you can have binding which im dealing with right now. Using rtr yokomo shocks from the yd2z spings from reve d and customed helper springs in rear its about same as if i had oil in them.
Just got my SD 2.0 and changed the front arms to Reve D RDX. Made a huge difference in handling. Out box settings are 🤮. After tweaking its now one of my favourite cars to drive. Of course my MD 1.0 is my favourite. Also my YD2 Rhino Shark purple 😎🤘🏻 Love your content in your videos Nezo. I’m running OMG Esc also and it rocks😎
I thought ahead as I was building mine. Thought it set low so I went the the long top hats on my shocks. I absolutely love mine. And I definitely didn’t put that amount of camber in the rear on mine lol. Mine has a lite tune right now. It’s definitely better than my d5 😂
Im considering upgrading from my mst rmx 2.0S with some upgrades(carbon decks, some aluminium) to either this yokomo sd 2.0 or the overdose galm v2 and i just dont know what to get. Please help.
It’s curious to me also. Yokomo is a big name in drift chassis and are not shy with pricing. There’s not $500 worth of materials so a good part of what we pay for is research and development, we’re definitely losing out in research of what works to start with. Pay NezO to tune your cars let some of that $$$ benefit someone who has a passion for this hobby.
Question: After many hours of comparing brands and their models I decided to go for Yokomo, but I'm very indecisive between the RD/SD = Rookie/Super Drift vs YD2E/YD2S = high traction/low traction models. It seems like they all work well for drifting although the YD2S seems to be the newest and optimized version for drifting. Pls help...
Interested in one of these, I had an md1.0 original but sold it as I wanted to try something else and I’m torn between the sd2.0 and a galm. What’s your thoughts?
Once I put a tune on the SD 2.0 I'll compare it to the Galm. From the box I liked the Galm more. Galm has been around since 2017 so only the ANTI+ 2023 chassis decks are new on the car I just acquired. The SD 2.0 is half YD based and half MD so it's a good blend of parts. I reached the point finally of wanted to try "something else" and that meant a new brand and that was one major factor in me getting a Galm ANTI+ 2023 kit :)
Thats a weird setting on the rear there. Makes you think they meant for the rear camber link to be mounted at the upper row center hole on the shock tower and give like 2 degrees of camber or so. Wich would be way better. Thats wild..
Some have told me that it was a misprint in the manual so I'm going to compare with the online version and verify because it's way too much camber lol. I have a feeling an addendum supplement will come soon to address it. Now it is time to tune it :D
Heck, just move the shocks from upper hole to lower hole on the towers. I was going over the settings on the SD 2.0 manual and was like WTH is this? I actually tried some of the settings on a ZX just to see and reverted back to my settings/tune, lol
How would you compare this chassis to others you have or tested? Do you think this chassis has the potential to be a competitive chassis? I'm stuck between the md1.0, sd1.0 lts, and this one.
Well after driving the SD2 for a while and giving it a light tune it drives quite well so I like it even more than I first did. If budget is no concern and you want big fancy, MD1. between SD1LTS and SD2...if i had to choose I would pick the SD2. I love the SD1LTS but the added bling parts on the SD2 really make a big difference.
0o0o very good question. I still have a soft spot for my original release first patch 2016 YD-2 Plus (when there was only a "basic and plus" version of them)
Love the new voice over style, keep doing that! Makes the video much more engaging.
Thank you :D Something new I am trying and I think I like it :D
Yes! These are so helpful. I didn’t ever care to watch the other videos w out commentary. I love hearing your opinion
I like the commentary on the shakedowns
Thank you!

Decent :D I considered what I was going to change for the first v1 tune as I was building it to the box specs, the time is now :D
@@BadShoppecan't wait for the update settings, working on building my SD2.0 now.
I would like to see a video on the tune you do to this car. I just purchased one and would love to see how you would set it up.
Lite tune video up now :)
Just got my SD 2.0 today for my first RC car! Did you end up changing anything with the set up? Hopefully I can get it built over the weekend.
How was it?
Sorry for delay in reply! So far just a light tune with camber and caster changes but that's about it. I want to do softer springs as well.
gasss! hannya chassis nexxxt ha ;)
Hello from France
For a beginner , Mst rms 2.5 or this Yokomo?
Thanks
Im considering upgrading from my mst rmx 2.0S with some upgrades(carbon decks, some aluminium) to either this yokomo sd 2.0 or the overdose galm v2 and i just dont know what to get. Please help.
I know this chassis with a proper setup will be a top contender but why can't yokomo seem to get a box setup thats even somewhat decent?
Agreed I can't wait to tune it, have some ideas already :D Lately the box tunes haven't been as good of a starting point but I hope that changes.

have both buy the sd

As fas as I know, -10 rear camber was a misprint on SD 2.0 manual. Also it seems super low, doesn’t make any sense..
I have a feeling we will see an addendum supplement soon for this car, I agree it is too low and the camber setting doesn't make much sense lol

Yeah moving the shocks is step one :D

What size pinion gear did you use for this chassis ? A 22t-23t ? I’m unsure what todo
I believe I installed a 24 tooth pinion
What bullets are you using for the battery?
These are the Yeah Racing "Angle Type 4mm & 5mm Connector Plug"
Any word on the MD 2.0 release?
Yokomo released it the other week I believe so it should be available now.
What tires do you use for your track?
Tires we currently use are the Yokomo DRC "C" tire, Yokomo DRPA "P-Tile" tire and the Reve-D AS-01 tire.
😂😂😂
😂
What Yokomo chassis is your favorite?
