Bub...in the old days and even early 70's they had cold-water flats for $25 to $40 a month in L.A. and NYC. People could scrape up some $ and live in a small room and share the bathroom down the hall. No more cold-water flats, now you have to pay $3,000 a month. I'd be homeless too if I was still living in L.A. or NYC.
There are a lot of homeless people who are not on drugs or mentally unstable but because they can't pay excessive rents or their mortgage anymore because they lost their jobs, or can't come up with funds to repair house after storm, etc. One in four homeless people in FL is over 55, a lot of senior citizens are homeless.
Trump has repeatedly stated he would impose tariffs and then take them off quickly....it's a means to an end not the be all end all. It lets those doing business with us realize what is at stake for taking US for granted.
