@@israelduranzaleta5147 actually … yes but I’m not using arch anymore … if I remember correctly I needed to install new drivers for my Bluetooth and update/upgrade them :) (I have the feeling dat my Bluetooth drivers just broken and I need to reinstall them )
how do you do this on kde plasma? ive installed bluez, blueman and enabled the service but i cant see any devices. i did get my headset to show up once but it wouldn't connect, rebooted the system and never showed up again
If your device disconnects 2 seconds after pairing, my fix was to install the "pulseaudio-bluetooth" package, after that, reboot the system. You should re-pair your device. It may or may not fail the first time, if so, reconnect through a GUI or "bluetoothctl", after that it should work flawlessly from now on, hope this helps.
the agent of bluez connects after starting the x11/wayland session, if i have to input a password in my display manager, the keyboard won’t work for it, right?
Thanks it worked for my earbuds when the gui from kde didn't work (probably my fault I must have missed some package or dependency) this is why cli is great!
Do you have any idea about how to show the battery status of the bluetooth device. ??? Can you help with that ? I have been trying to figure it out but I can't have anything to work on my way :(
I'm not sure, but this might be a good place to start. wiki.archlinux.org/title/bluetooth_headset#Battery_level_reporting You might have to do some coding yourself to make everything work
Thank you for your help. It works with Asus BT500, but it won't work with my other adapter that is on ATS2851 chip, system does recognize it but can't connect devices, it shows org.bluez.Error.Failed br-connection-unknown.
So... I've been trying to connect my headset for a couple hours now, for some reason I cannot for the life of me manage to get it to just even appear in bluetoothctl scan on...
I'm new in linux, and I really want to learn linux. It would appreciate your help, I've been trying lots of things with the help of different posts, and also I've trying this video steps... But I have a problem, the console shows me the message "No default controller available". If maybe any of you guys have a recommendation I would appreciate it.
Run "rfkill list all" to check if your bluetooth is blocked in any way, if it's soft-blocked, run "rfkill unblock [ID]" to unblock it, for example "rfkill unblock 0".
You should get a mechanical keyboard... I use arch btw
Legendary comment
Hahahhaha 😂😂😂
instantly helped, thank you. command line seems to be my new favorite way to do things.. it just works
sweet, this fixed my issue. Bluetooth worked under windows, but for the life of me couldn't see it in a catchy OS environment. Thank you for the help.
Thanks, worked perfectly once I set up the bluetooth service to run on boot. Now my headphones auto-connect with no extra work.
thanks, you really help me
is rare found arch linux videos turtorials, especially using WM
im glad it helped you too darling
I'm glad this video exists. Thank you.
Thanks bro, this has helped me out a lot. I'll probably never use it, but it's just there and that's all that matters I guess
It worked for me… BUT after I reboot my pc it says „No default controller available“
Were you able to fix it?

Great video. It was so useful for me!
you saved my earpods
but... what about audio with pipewire-pulse and wireplumber?
Unpairing and pairing again was the trick for me
must watch for adding bluetooth after installing arch linux.
1:51 what did you do to get that autosuggestion / autocompletion ?
Zsh-autosuggestions, I have a video about it: th-cam.com/video/wHnMd8uz6j0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Eric

I can connect to my phone without problems, but my headset just won't ever show up in scan
when i am typing the command bluetoothctl mine system is showing waiting for bluetoothd what to do now and i waited for few time it's not responding
Sounds like the bluetooth daemon isn't started, make sure to start it with systemd
@@EricMurphyxyz ya it worked thank you so much
Thank you! Also, what window manager are you using?
bspwm!
