- In this video we will be using a hotdog, kool-aid and garlic bait mixture I made at home to catch Channel catfish at one of our favorite fishing spots, Sandusky Bay. We hope you guys enjoy this video just as much as we enjoyed making it. Wayne and myself had a blast out here at Sandusky Bay :) Drop a comment, Leave a like and do not forget to subscribe. How I Made My Bait : • HOW TO MAKE Super Catf...
I thought we were the only ones to use hot dogs, but we use plain. Catch every time
They work like a charm
Hi I like your video well that mixture work in saltwater.
I don’t see why not. Where are you located ?
Another great video! Learned alot by watching I wasn't aware that you can get good catches by just using hot dogs and Kool aid lol! Mind blowing 🤯!!!!
Yes very effective bait. The catfish love it.
Sandusky Bay is awesome. I don’t fish but I do watch trains there and it is very scenic. I try to visit there at least once a year.
Very scenic. I love the calmness there.
I will try the hotdogs on santee cooper here in South Carolina
That’s a great setup. Let me know how you do with the bait! Good luck. #Tightlines.
Nice catch brother! Good eating right there! Hey to Wayne also!
Thanks for the support. Stay tuned.
I'm going catfishing tomorrow!! Can't wait to use this bait
Good luck!
Solid background tune
I appreciate it.
Shrimp in garlic awsome too
I have to try it.
Nice to see them in action! Great!
Ohhh yeah !!!
Good job ! Killer technique & recipe ! Thanx bro! From Toronto, Canada
No problem! Thank you as well. New fishing video coming soon be sure to tune in.
Fins and scales! Great video - APTTMH
AGB2G. All glory be to 2 God.
Made my first batch of the kool aide hotdog bait tonight. Looking forward to trying it out myself.
Very nice to hear. Come summer time I have a lot more content coming. Stay tuned.
We use chicken and Kool aid here in south indiana
Definitely gonna try the hot dogs tonight tho, gonna do a double pole run, one with chicken Kool aid and one with hotdog koolaid just to see which is more effective
@@jasm4021 I look forward to hearing which one works better. I have heard of the chicken/ kook-aid mix but never tried it. Does the chicken stay on the hook
@@rshaunadventures yes will definitely let you know, and yeah usually does really well, especially when the waters colder it makes the chicken more firm. I never really had a problem with it staying on the hook
@@jasm4021 good luck my friend.
@@rshaunadventuresyou have to try cheese sticks and kool-aid mix a northwest indiana thing
I will be trying this bait bro...thanks for the tip and keep those videos coming!
Did you try it?
You should do an instructional on cat fish, how to handle them and how to filet them!
Will do !!!
Hot dog baby! 👏🏾 Nice catches
Thank you!
Your hat is on point bro
Thanks
Great video guys never tried hotdogs but I am going to give them a try
Did you give the hot dogs a try?
Th Bullhead is better table fare than the channel cat! But, the channel cat ain't bad, under 18"! 😊 Sandusky Bay is no joke for catfish! A lot of big fish! I try to stop by there once or twice a year .... all the way from Pittsburgh! And the shrimp is the ticket!
Absolutely agreed. I love both tbh. I can’t wait to fish there this summer. Usually I use shrimp there too. Works every time.
Nice video!
Thanks man
Awesome video!!! Got my sub 👍🏻
I have a buddy wanting to take me over there catfishing. He said it’s a great time.
Yeah it’s a really dope place. Thanks for the sub. Maybe you’ll see me out there
@@rshaunadventures that would be cool! Good luck man, keep up with the good content. Do you hunt any at all?
Hey rashon I watch that video just curious did you catch much on the shrimp
Usually I catch a lot but that day I didn't get any.
@@rshaunadventures I wonder if you make that mix and put shrimp in that mix would work.
@@joejackson2283 you know what that wouldn't bad idea. I'll do a video on it. Think it would be a good idea?
Would you recommend freezing the bait and using it at a later date? It shouldn't hurt, should it? Thanks in kind for the content.
Yes you can freeze it. I’d take it out the freezer the night before you go fish and toss it in the fridge to unthaw. I have some of this bait in the freezer as we speak. It’s a perfect go to. Let me know how you do once you try it.
Next week I will be trying this out. I will be using plastic gloves.... I will keep watching to see how you put it on your hook.
Did you catch anything?
Nice spot
Very beautiful spot
Was hopeing to see how you attached your hot dog on your hooks....
I will upload a video of me putting it on the hook. I’ll do a short how’s that ?
Do you use 25lb test?
I use 12lb.
Thanks for the response and information on bait
Want to catch bigger catfish. Use cut bait skip jack bluegill goldfish whatever and spray down with pam cooking spray. Get you some catfish even up to 50 lbs try it
I’ll try it. Where do you fish what state are you in?
Well I fished in a lot of places but I live in Missouri have for several years I fish Missouri river and some smaller rivers that dump into the Missouri river
Fish in some lakes as well
Last 3 big fish I've caught was a 62 lb flathead a 54 lb blue cat and a 35 lb channel cat
I did have a drive by the fish took my bait kept on moving snap a 50 lb test line and kept trucking
Hey man, do you have a hard time keeping the hotdog from slinging off the hook when you cast out?
I’ll upload a short with how I hook the hotdog onto the hook. Most of the time I use a 4/0 Hook. The smaller hooks work better when it comes to casting far.
How much of that cool aid garlic makes it back to you if you reel in?
If I reel it in without getting a bite the entire hot dog comes back on the hook.
