They do it all the time. It's not your money, it's the UFC's money. They will dole it out as they choose. Whining about everything is just a bad look on you. You get what you get or just pass on the fights offered.

Having an interim champion and a champion then now allowing them to unify the belt and having them both fight other people delegitimizes the two belts. It’s true we don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. Jon may very well retire after this next fight. Or may be asking for Alex to be his retirement fight. As much as we want to see the belts unified. Jon has been in the ufc a long long time. As as a veteran he will have a say in his last fight. If he honestly thinks it will be a more interesting fight and money draw for him. That makes sense for him

But you failed to take reality into account and made yourself look foolish. When Tom won the next in line fight; Jones had a contractual obligation already. All the double digits on here think contracts can be dissolved and not honored anytime they want it different. That is what is called a delusional stance. You are right no one can stop you from making a fool out of yourself about something you don't have a clue about. To dissolve a legal contract, you have to get everyone that is part of the contract to agree to dissolve that contract. It isn't just up to Jones or white or even Stipe to just dump the fight. Everyone already has a stake in the signed contract. Put your money where your mouth is and pay all the parties off to dissolve the contract. Otherwise, you are just whistling dixie in 2024. Like I said those that disregard the facts are just making noise by whining.
@@crawlermonkey You forgot to mention the contractual obligation Jon is under with Stipe. That was in place before Tom won the next in line opportunity. Even that next in line isn't written in stone. Only the signed contracts are written in stone. But some people act like that doesn't exist. Facts are facts except to fanboys that will ignore them to ramble on with their nonsense. On top of that. Dana is always going to pick the biggest money maker. So, Alex getting a shot before Tom would not be unusual.
It’s going to repeat of the Gane match. Speaking of Gane he should fight Alex Instead. Alex has to earn a title shot at heavyweight. He can’t just skip the line. It’s even not even going to be entertaining. Jones will take him down and submit him In the first round.

If UFC is even considering it, that means Stipe is probably injured, and they gotta protect Jon from Tom... STILL.
Every one initially said Alex isn't ready for UFC at the start of his UFC career but disapproved them all by winning at two weight division against the best, so he can't be ruled out against Jon Jones, he still stands a chance. He can use elbows, knees, leg kicks and punches with equal effectiveness.
Alex isnt ready for Jones yet. He needs to gain a little more weight and fight a couple heavyweights first. If they threw him right in with Jones it would slay Alex's legacy. I do believe if Alex chooses the right path he could obtain 3 division championship status. If he moves to fast in that direction though i think it would be devastating. Jones is a scary fight for Alex and his hands down style. Jones is sneaky with his style. Could catch Alex in so many ways. Also Jones has felt the kind of power Alex possesses before. So Alex ahould really take his time in my opinion heading into Heavyweight agaibst Jones. Might i add im a huge Alex fan and not a fan of Jones. I believe Jones is a cheater with the PED fails and also the eye poking King. Either way Jones is dangerous.
jones is only 8 pounds heavier than alex walk around weight. and its all fat. alex is lik 240 when not cutting. jones is like 248 and a bit chubby

Alex takedown defense is a big worry. On the feet nobody is more dangerous for Jones than Alex, And his leg kicks are just as lethal as his left hook. Nobody is beating Jones on the ground.

The contract is already signed way before Asp won a shot at the title. That puts him second in line, not first in line. Someone would have to put up some big money to get both to vacate the contract, even then the UFC may not let them vacate the contract. Contracts are legally binding and if broken could cost them millions. Maybe you should think before making such ridiculous statements as some of the newbies are claiming. They just don't have a clue how life really works in the real world outside of their fantasies.

Alex is one of the best strikers of all time, and I'm not saying just from MMA, but from all combat sports, in striking stance today he is levels above jones, if that figth happens the only point jones could beat him is in grappling, but we dont really know what level Alex grappling is, and if he can just be abble to mantain the figth in the striking stance, Alex is favorite. If he fought Jones, they would be absolute zero feel out period from Jon. He would dive that lead left leg lift up, turn him so that he’s on his back, push him against the cage and slowly, but surely drag him down, or pick him up and slam him into control. From there, it would be about 90 seconds to two minutes, slowly inching his way into mount or back control, and finish with ground or rear naked choke.
Alex needs to fight big nose first at light heavyweight, If he wins, wait it out and move to HW After the dust settles with Jones/Stipe and then eventually the winner of that vs Tom.
