Filmed in my old neighborhood, Midwood, Brooklyn, 52 years before my birth. I understand the area was practically all farmland, with the exception of the studios.
@@rclaughlin I agree, It's a 100% copy. Like, everything is the same, no new idea at all, even the ending. If I was Segundo de Chomon, I'd have been mighty offended. I guess this is why copyrights has been invented.
The end of that film was actually quite scary! I bet it made a few people shriek back then! Cleverly done too.
Good stuff! It was mind blowing to think that when this came out, my grandfather (who was a World War ONE veteran) was only around 12 years old!
Bravo, mille merci pour ce travail de réhabilitation du cinéma des pionniers. Vous êtes fantastique !

This looks like the precursor to the Haunted House made in 1908
Precursor? Ripoff, you mean. Chomon's *The Haunted House* was released in 1906, the year before *The Haunted Hotel*.

4:52 mosh pit!
fofo
This is a poorly done ripoff of Segundo de Chomón's masterpiece La maison ensorcelée, released the same year.
