The best tasks are always the ones that seem simple to start but just descend into chaos and this is a prime example.
It's a great task, but I'm not sure how this qualifies for 'seeming simple'.
"But we preserved our dignity!" says the man who ended up collapsed on the floor.
When Chris, who completed the task remarkably quickly, remained up right, and looked like he was waiting for the order to “finish him…”
This seems like a dyspraxic nightmare. The only answer is to not rush.
oh yes a new taskmaster episode. let me stop all of my own tasks to watch this right now
I watch Taskmaster to prepare me for whatever completely crazy things my own management is going to ask for... And often while completely sabotaging the task themselves. Oh, we need this thing done, but the normal tool everyone else would use for it is expensive so to save money we're going to have a whole team spend months on it instead...
Hold On, I think she's got this
This is absolutely my favorite task in the whole Taskmaster universe. not just the english version, all versions. it's just so good
Mine too ! Seen it on a few international versions now as well, always chaos and frustration, just the best.
"Yes but we preserved our dignity" says the man who lay on the floor kicking his legs with a toy robot
One of the more devilish tasks. I love it! ❤
Ardlo:
"But we preserved our dignity."
Ardlo: 2:57
@@iliketrains3495 I _think_ you'll find that he is really called Ardlo Hanlon.
😏
This is one of my favorite tasks ever and I'm surprised nobody employed "The Peanut Butter" method on the monsters.
flip candles upside down, take springs off the monsters, task becomes very easy imo. Sadly, the highlights tracker on YT had told me in advance nobody went down that route
This is one of those tasks that would stress me out to no end
One of the bests! It's just so delight to watch these people being silly ♥
What, no hidden sign on the bottom of the top saying -5 points if you spin it?
That would have been an interesting but controversial twist, as it would have cost Sophie the series
So the trick was doing them in a certain order. The candles, then the cradle, etc. Taking in account the time each one stays in position/motion.
Yeah. I was thinking the task would actually be pretty easy, but because they weren't thinking in a logial order they struggled.
This was such a funny group
Just to point out, this was Series 13, not 12 as the description says.
Greg & Alex Are Brilliant
Why would everyone not just immediately blow out the candles
@@knittyrobin Dear lord 🙄 ... how would they know they were joke candles until they tried blowing them out?
@@knittyrobinoesn't matter, it should still be the first thing you'd do. Basic order of operations, the candles being out is permanent. When you see they have relit by the time you get the cradle going, then you lick your fingers and pinch them or smother them.
Candles, cradle, sand, walker, marble, fidget spinner, monsters.
@@Cheesus-Sliced I was planning on stuffing them into the other cakes like a little triangle. 😂
"the blur, the blur"
mercy!?!? from the task master??? surprised he allowed bridget's attempt. W
Totally agreed with you on Educated. I just didn't understand how she did it all and it wasn't explained!
I'm surprised nobody asked Alex to keep those monsters squatting, or to keep blowing on the candles
Judi totally got this task after figuring out how the marble was supposed to roll after holding on and getting over how it was ridiculous.
@@Fivemacs I guess it went over your head, but in the video she clearly points out that she was the fastest. If she hadn't made a mistake she would have won. Only one person even completed the challenge, so she did better than most and almost won, yet you're trying to criticize her.
@@Leto_0 I guess it went over your head, but in the video 2 people clearly completed the task.
A fiendish task indeed.
The definition of hectic
'But we preserved our dignity.' ROFK
you've signed on to TaskMaster check your dignity at the door. LOL !!!!
The blur! If only they'd filmed at a different shutter angle!
@@WellISaidIt Shutter angle is a real term used in videography. It describes the ratio between shutter speed and frame rate, which affects motion blur.
It stems from the film days when the shutter for a video camera was a spinning disc with an angled opening, and that angle was how exposure and motion blur were controlled.
The term persists because, when we're viewing a video - rather than a still frame - that ratio is more important for how we perceive motion blur than the absolute shutter speed.
Looks like the marble had already reached the bottom by the time Bridget finished. Did they miss that, or did it count because the marble was still kind of rolling around in the base?
It's technically still rolling around at the bottom. "The marble must be rolling" Is the exact wording for that object so I'd say it's fair that it's rolling at the bottom. They could even take it out of the track if they wanted to with that wording.
I’m surprised nobody asked for tape to keep the things in squatted position.
I surprise no one through the candle outside. So it’s always out.
There was something so sad about the forlorn robot lying on its back walking nowhere at 2:49
Also, hold on…I THINK I’VE GOT THIS! 😂😂😂
So you blow the candles out immediately… because it doesn’t say that the act of blowing the candles has to happen while everything is happening. The clackers, fidget spinner, and hourglass go the longest, so easy second tasks to do. Poppers are easy if you just stand on them, and that leaves the top, marble slide, and robot.
That being said, I’m not being rushed, so I wouldn’t do great, lol.
“Yes. But we preserved our dignity.” Ardal.
But did you!? 😉
Bridget is my favorite by far.
Anyone else think «I could do so much better» 😂
Ohhhh toys
Video 1 of asking for a Back to Win episdoes
Give us Charlotte Richie, Mark Watson, Nish Kumar, Joe Wilkinson, Mike Wozniak and Ardal!
The last comment was the best of all he should have gotten at least one point for that
This is the first series lineup where I don't know who anyone is
I never knew about this show. I'm american so that probably has something to do with that. I love this show. I like pausung it after hearing the task, and devise my own method. I especially love trying to find cheeky work arounds, based on the wording of the task. I was disappointed when I learned that it's a revolving cast of somewhat funny celebrities, and not your everyday kind of person. After learning that, I had a very American thought... lets just steal the show. It's not like we haven't already done it. The Weakest Link, Whose Line is it Anyways. The Office etc...
They tried and it wasn't as popular as they wanted it to be. I think they should just continue to invite American comedians on the show. How about Stanzi Potenza or Darcy of Darcy and Jer.
Bridget shouldn't have gotten any points. All the things were happening at once, but that only matters if she had clapped when that was the case. It popped well before she clapped.
Well, it says "you must applaud when you think you've finished", as in "you applaud if you've made these things happen at the same time", not "applaud at the same time that these things are happening"
I felt as irritated as Greg when they read the task.
this should be the requirement before u can vote for parliament
The task was to make the monsters squat, not to make all the monsters squat. Two monsters spuatting should suffice for the completion of the task.
No, it says "The monsters must be squatting" not "Some of the monsters must be squatting". The wording "The monsters" inherently refers to the whole group. If it didn't have the "The", you'd be right.
I think I got it
I have nothing to say, except I love this show and I wanted the video to get more interaction for the algorythm. Like if you agree, comment if you'd like the YT algorythm to give them more play.
I think she hasn't got this.
I guess the writing is running low, half of the host's jokes were just mocking what the contestants say during the trial
Mediocre series, mediocre cast, but a wonderful task. Joe Wilkinson would have had an aneurysm.
I know noel isnt in this episode but by god, noels got my heart and mind ❤
I like how it wasn’t mentioned that they didn’t have to do anything with the spinning top and it was just there as a decoy
Mind blown 🤯
I didn't realize that I was wondering why they wouldn't do something like that😂
